Let me start out by saying the staff at the desk and labwork were terrific! Very friendly and kind. The building itself is very welcoming, clean and “covid safe”. Within one minute of speaking to Dr Sukumaran she was VERY quick to jump down my throat about “NOT SAYING YOUR THIS” and spending the rest of the appointment with me trying to prove a point. Instead of compassionately educating her patient she began to explain how she cannot treat me because it would look like insurance fraud on her end. I understand where she was coming from, but as a patient being told these things is a bit bizarre. After she started talking to me I was so flabbergasted that I did not want to look at her or speak to her. She made it very uncomfortable and her lack of compassion and attitude made me never want to go back. I would definitely see another Doctor in the facility. I had never felt so belittled by a Doctor before and NOONE deserves to feel that way!

I had my first visit with Dr. Sukumaran last week. She became my oncologist/hematologist upon the retirement of Dr. Willen, who was excellent, thorough, and was responsible for saving my life through his diagnosis of my kidney cancer that was unrelated to my being his patient for a B-12 deficiency. I was very apprehensive about changing doctors, and was very encouraged by Dr. Sukumaran's professionalism and warmth during this initial visit. She had read my file prior to my appointment and was well informed. She took care to discuss my current concerns and suggested follow-up PET testing as well as genetic testing. She is empathetic and thorough, and I look forward to an ongoing positive doctor-patient experience.

She is my attending Oncologist and has proved to be a highly intelligent, sincere, wise and competent physician. Over my many visits, Dr. "Susu" has created a strong doctor/patient relationship giving me confidence in the future. Her precise knowledge of medications provided me with insight into how them work and she is always open to questions, the answers to which are clear, accurate and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Sukumaran. She's great.

Dr. "Susu" is great. Knowledgeable, accurate, logical, endearing, and gentle. She will answer any question to whatever extent the patient wishes, is consistent in demeanor, patience and case memory. Other reviewers here seem to have had some sort of problem they may have imported from other experiences. As a past and current patient, I can say unequivocally, she's one of the best available.

Dr Sue is very knowledgeable and will go to great lengths to work on getting Medical Insurance approvals which is greatly appreciated. She spends time with you to explain pharmaceutical drugs, etc.

Dr. Sukumaran's predecessor treated me for several years, dutifully scheduling my appointments once per year. Since Dr. Su took over (10? yr ago) I've seen her only twice, the last time recently on an urgent matter. At that appointment her demeanor was condescending to the point of being extremely offensive. Avoid her at all cost!

If it was not for Dr. Sukumaran I would not be writing this comment. She saved my life. I saw her once a month for almost 5 years and each time I was treated with respect and dignity. I am currently on a new drug that Dr. Sukumaran prescribed that basically keeps me alive. She was always upfront with me. I can't thank her enough.
