Peconic Bay Medical Center's Online Review Report Card

My husband was there 2 times this year. Both were in Orthopedic Department. The Orthopedic department is Excellent. The staff is professional, attentive, and really care ,like old time nursing. You don't have to even ring the bell. The food is amazing. Dr. Cimmenno staff is the BEST.

My experience with a family member was negative. No communication. Nurses are the ONLY quality part of this hospital! If you can avoid it, please do! We went in for an emergency. It resulted in a surgery. Family meme er real ease the best day. Infection and it spreads! Return for more surgery and intense antibiotic treatments. Hospital decides he can leave to "rehab". None of their offers are a good fit for my family member. High infections in the facilities, 60 k on fines for one, bad reviews by an impartial reviewer. But they want the family member GONE! Lots of pressure to accept bad facilities. Finally we get a good one discharge is set for 4:00 pm, doesn't happen til 6:45. No dinner or lunch , family member was served ONE meal. They arrive at the facility at 7:30pm. No dinner , kitchen is locked up! Thankful to have left Peconic , which doesn't give a crap about your family. They prefer to have the homeless addicts fill their hall for a night off the streets and a meal, at a cost to all of the families who have coverage. Find a bette replace for your loved one, I will!

Horrible - avoid at all costs. The only reason my father ended up at this hellhole was because he had no choice - ambulance took him here, despite his protests. Too many examples of incompetence, disregard, and neglect to go into, but please, do not bring family members or friends here. Its a good place to take your enemies. Never get admitted here during summer months or heat waves - no AC and windows don't open.

first off this is the worse hospital there is , they refuse to serve me solids after i told them liquids where staying down. i have not eating all night and a doctor has not come by to see me and the nurse said this morning ill let the doctor know that im keeping down liquids and here come lunch time and they keep giving me solids. Im currently admitted and starving because they wont give me solids food, so if u like slow service and like to starve then this is the hospital for you. never again would i come to peconic ever again and i will make sure nobody i know comes to this hospital.

50/50. Some staff are professional and some are just plain rude. They don’t know how to listen. You went to school to be a nurse and yet most of them have bad customer service. From ER to ICU to South. Let’s hope their Quality Management Office do know how to listen. The staff rather condescend me and my wife (in separate treatment). Not a good sign. Sensitivity training is a must!!!

Seriously I’m here for past 1 hr. I called ambulance to rush to hospital with perineal pain which was really sharp. Came to receptionist got my registration band by myself. Went for vitals and telling nurse that I have perineal cyst while she was insisting that no it’s not. Then I google it and showed to her then she understood. On top of that rather taking my vitals and finish with me she was searching the name of the other cyst which she was correcting me with that name something on tail bone. While sitting over the cyst for one hour I was called. Still waiting there with sharp pain.

Worst hospital ever!! Extremely long wait times in ER, waited 3 HOURS on a stretcher where not one person checked up on me after not being able to move from a car accident. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Waited longer to get a CT scan. They didn’t even request a CT Scan on my hip where I couldn’t move it but only my head. Then had to wait hours more to get the approval for the CT scan on my hip. It was ridiculous, I would never return. Hospital is dirty.

I was refused medical attention. I was pushed to bounce around to PT and CT scans for a knee that was locking up. Everyine was saying there's something in there making it lock up. Dr angellelo who I saw maybe 2 times in the span of a year wouldn't help me. I was leaving my work and wanted to get it done before I quit. Now I have chronic leg pain every day and a bill that some how jumped 300 dollars. No one at pbmc will call me back after calling numerous times to see what I'm being billed for. At this point I'm better off getting seriously hurt and going to a hospital. They're useless. Waste if time and money from my life.
