List of Stephen R. Densen's Reviews
Dr. Densen answered my questions and has a great bedside manner. He’s patient and I specifically traveled a bit further from home to see the doctor. I would recommend him without hesitation.
My Doctor was very curtious and made my visit so much better especially because I was in pain. I limp in and walk out after seeing my Doctor. What an awsome experience. Thank to the Smithtown team.
Fr Dendom is the best, as is your staff. Very fine atmosphere. Very grateful!
Was able to get an appointment quickly. Friendly staff and no wait. X-ray done quickly down the hall. Very happy with the dr. Did not feel rushed at all. Highly recommend!
Dr. Densen, and I hesitate to use that title, was unprofessional, using a derogatory term to describe one of his patients, he failed to review my previously taken x-rays, which had been pulled up by his assistant and sitting right up on his computer screen. He did not take new x-rays nor order an MRI, and therefore mis-diagnosed my ankle fracture as a muscle sprain.
Dr. Densen looked at my foot and knew right away what was wrong. He explained it to me and was very caring and supportive. We discussed a plan of action and I am now on the mend. Thanks to Dr. Densen!!
Horrible bedside manners. He charged my insurance for "surgery" when all he did was look at my X-Rays during the first and only visit. (Disgusting !) His explanation of the recovery was not even close !!! He walked into examination room complaining to an associate about how he has to pay a change fee for an airline and on and on... After about 2 minutes, in the room, he finally looks at me and introduces himself. He looked at my x-ray and said the surgery is no issue at all and that I would walk out and maybe 1 day recovery. (I ultimately went to the HSS in Manhattan and it was a 2 week minimum recovery with the foot elevated the entire time... very different). So glad I went elsewhere !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
