List of Allen D Pettee's Reviews
Dr. Pettee is intentional and caring, with tremendous bedside manner. If you want the opinion of a true professional, see Dr. Pettee.
Dr Pettee I had severe shingles pain in one forearm. No other knew how to treat it. Dr. Pettee knew it was a reaction to a defective shingles vaccine. He had a composting pharmacist make a special topical treatment. Dr. Pettee is very caring, very thorough, n very knowledgeable. I feel grateful having him as my doctor M.Mosher
Dr Pettee has always been very specific and he definitely knows his job. I like him because it’s quiet , friendly welcoming office to come to. It’s actually never been a time I had to wait forever to see him. Thanks for your help
Allen Pettee took over for Marvin Goldstein in 2004. I turned to dr Pettee when I was experiencing break through seizures. He never met me, instead gave me over to a SMH to do an in hospital VEEGM test. Was this a gut feeling you had that these seizures weren’t real? Despite the fact that I responded very well to seizure medication. Dr Goldstein’s clinical observations of my condition, using decades of experience gave me a quality of life. Dr Marvin Goldstein was a real neurologist who trusted his knowledge base over a textbook. He cared for my needs medically. He helped ease my pain and suffering. Allen Pettee set me on a path of devastation, job loss, homelessness, bankruptcy, and psychiatric treatment. Well guess what? Talking hasn’t made me better. Now tests support Marvin Goldstein’s diagnosis. I am disgusted with Dr Pettee. Dr Pette never even met me in person. He washed his hands of me. He undid the 12 years of good care dr Goldstein gave me. If your condition isn’t a text book diagnosis, do not trust dr Pettee with yourself or your loved one. Or you too will be a victim of medical sloppiness and laziness. Arrogance at the end of the day.
Dr Pettee is a REAL DOC he takes his time gets as much info as needed I feel very confident in Dr care. Negative ? The office is not updated ...equipment is from the beginning of medicine.
I went to Dr. Pettee for many years until I realized he was only increasing the dosage on my meds but not fully addressing my issues. He’s very awkward and I was always nervous when I had an appointment with him. I left his practice and am now with another doctor who has addressed my medical issues and helped me with a different medication to help alleviate my pain.
Caring. Listens intently. Skillful and supportive. Explains all aspects of treatment
He is a good doctor but you wait a long time to get an appointment and the phone service goes out a lot. The parking is terrible.
While in crisis- having 5 consecutive days of seizures, I received a voicemail from the practice, I called them back and a familiar receptionist answered and was immediately snappy and cruel. Exasperated, I tried to have my words heard but was met again with resistance and intimidation until I was hung up on in a state of crisis. I called back because I was in a medical emergency, but the receptionist mocked me again and hung up the phone. After desperately calling a third time, I found that my number had been blocked. Sick, confused, panicked and groggy from medication I thought it was best at the time to try and walk to the office to talk to someone in person. Upon entry into the building another seizure was starting. Instead of immediate medical attention from a staff specializing in seizures, they called the cops on me and I finished my seizure out in the parking lot while the cops tried getting words out of me.
TERRIBLE DOCTOR! Didn't diagnose correctly, ignored and wouldn't speak with family of senior patient in order to be provided with valuable input. Thankful second opinion was obtained and that my mother now has an excellent neurologist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
