Dr. Petraglia and his assistant, Anthony, are amazing! It has been four months since my surgery, and I feel so much better than I felt before the surgery. My surgery consisted of lumbar laminectomy with fusion on L3-5. The surgery took about 4.5 hours, and I have 4 cages, six screws and rods in my spine. I do not have any regrets as I had been suffering from extreme pain and numbness down my left leg. I liked Dr Petraglia from the very first visit. I found him to be caring, personable, knowledgeable, confident, and patient. He explained everything to me in terms that I could easily understand, and he answered all of my questions. He took his time with me, and did not seem to be bothered by questions, even when I asked him to repeat the whole process over again. He did not rush me out of the office, and he did not rush me to make a decision. The surgery went very well. My incision healed very quickly, and I am feeling better every day. I highly recommend Dr. Petraglia!!

I'm an 88 year old woman. I had been in pain for a year. It was determined that I had a cyst on my spine causing terrible pain down my legs and in my back. Dr. Petraglia thought removing the cyst would relieve my pain. I woke up from surgery and was immediately pain free; I am such a better person now thanks to Dr. P... my outlook on life has changed. I can't be more appreciative. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Amazing is all I can say. My entire experience was wonderful. From Dr. Petraglia and his staff, to the hospital care. Going forward he is the only neurosurgeon that will ever work on my family!

I received spinal fusion in Oct. 2022 . The surgery was a great success as my severe sciatic has been relieved!! Words can't express the admiration I have for Dr. Petraglia. I am impressed by his skill and expertise in his surgical treatment for my long-standing sciatic pain and spondiolythesis. He along with his PA Anthony Dambra demonstrated great knowledge and care while dealing with my condition. His office staff should also be commended for their helpfulness during this process.They were very professional and friendly!! I would Highly recommend Dr. Petraglia to anyone needing neurosurical treatment.

I’ve had serious back issues for years. Not only was he an hour late for my appointment, but he dismissed me like I was crazy. He said my back was like a 45 year old woman (I’m 64) and that there was nothing wrong. This was in 2021. Fast forward to 2023, after experiencing worsening symptoms which include burning, tingling, pins and needles, needing a cane to walk, my neurologist suggested I meet with a neurosurgeon in Buffalo. After having MRI’s done, my entire back has multi-level disc herniations compressing nerves, I have thoracic kyphosis that is 45 degrees and is causing breathing issues. I have severe spinal stenosis in the cervical and thoracic area as well. Thankfully I have found a neurosurgeon that knows I have severe issues in the back and doesn’t blow me off like I’m nuts. And by the way, my back isn’t like a 45 year old woman! I do not recommend this doctor at all!

Very knowledgeable, able to communicate my problem and answered all questions. The surgery went great and my recovery was uneventful. I would definitely return for any future problems.

Dr. Petraglia is great! He has a wonderful way of making you feel like you’re talking with family ! So down to earth- explaining in a way to make sure you understand your condition. Never did I feel rushed … he was wonderful and the staff is equally as nice!! I absolutely would recommend him and this office !

Dr Petraglia is the only one that took his time to listen and assess my medical problem. He gave me much needed information, a diagnosis, a plan and where to start to put me on the road to healing. There are no words I can say to express how grateful I am for his help. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a neurosurgeon. Thank you Dr. Petraglia.
