List of Ari D Chodos's Reviews
He recently performed a procedure on me, and he was kind, professional, and punctual. I liked him and his staff a lot, they were very comforting.
Dr. Chodos is great. Kind, gentle, caring. He took time to listen, then had a plan. He knew just the tests to run, medicine to prescribe and explained in careful understandable language how to proceed. I am grateful and so happy to have found Dr. Chodos.
Saw Dr. Chodos for a colonoscopy for an urgent condition. Several months later had another GI issue and he is and staff worked with me right away.
Dr. Chodos was excellent. I have been through these procedures with 2 other physicians who have retired. He came highly recommended and the recommendation was right on.
I saw Dr Codos once in person for a colonoscopy and for 2 telephone visits due to covid. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at my colonoscopy appt back in August 2020. I was told nothing but to follow a gluten free diet. I followed and have been following a strict gluten free diet since then. I was feeling a bit better but not where I should be. He told me to avoid oats, switch to gluten free shower products and follow up in 3 months. That I may need yet another colonoscopy. After doing some of my own research on the unfamiliar Celiac Disease and speaking to a friend who also has it, I decided a second opinion was needed. So that I did. I was immediately ordered an endoscopy and put on an antibiotic 3 times daily for 2 weeks for bacterial overgrowth. None of this was ever mentioned to me from Dr Chodos. I was relieved by new GI Dr but also upset that I could’ve been on the mend earlier.
Professional, comfortable environment, clean and excellent staff. You're in and out before you know it. Plenty of staff of help prep and then monitor and you are ushered right in, put under anesthetic, wake up and you leave! About as hassle free a procedure as can be imagined. Need to stay on top of them if you want a follow up report though.
Good physician. Pleasant support staff. Somewhat like an assembly line process.
I had an endoscopy with Dr. Chodos. He and all of the staff were professional, kind and willing to answer questions before the procedure. I'm unable to remember much of what happened afterward due to the sedative making me groggy (and was unable to have my husband with me due to COVID-19 restrictions) so was happy to read the paper his office gave me with all his followup info. Dr. Chodos had sent a prescription to my pharmacist, recommended me going to an additional specialist and had already sent a referral to that office, suggested other things I could try that might address my stomach issue, and asked me to make a followup appointment with his office to check on my progress. I appreciate his thoroughness.
Kind, caring, empathetic; listens
I had my first colonoscopy for some issues this past Friday afternoon .. and I'm under 30. I was a nervous wreck.. like seriously thinking the worst every day leading up to the appointment.. when I got to unity hospital to check in my nerves were calmed right away from the nice receptionist.. nice and understanding nurses.. and then I met with my anesthesiologist and he explained everything before my procedure started..lastly I met Dr chodos and he was so calming and professional.. I would definitely go back to see him again and recommend him to anyone that is looking for a good gastroenterologist. Thank God everything was okay with me and I have peace of mind now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
