List of Ashanthi Gajaweera's Reviews
The doctor didn't even bother to go over my symptoms with me, after tracking them for months and taking the time to write everything down. She didn't listen, stated that she could send me for a fourth opinion when I had only seen one other doctor for the specific reasons I was seeing her. She suggested that I probably have a disorder for which I have no symptoms (Ehler Danlos Syndrome), but dismissed other diseases for which I have a LOT of symptoms. She insisted that I have lab work for tests that I had done less than 6 months ago, and as suspected, they came back normal. I didn't get the impression that she cared about my health at all, and I would definitely NOT recommend her. I feel like she brushed me off because I have sub-par insurance, as she suggested that I just talk to my primary care doc about my symptoms. She didn't seem to want to help me at all.
The doctor never discussed my symptoms and ailments with me. She suggested that I have a disorder for which I have no symptoms of, and then dismissed all of my concerns. I do not recommend her at all.
I had an appointment scheduled for today. I called to question the procedure, and the office girl was very kurt and condescending. I expressed my unhappiness with her attitude and said I would be there at my appointment time. They called back 2.5 hours later to cancel my appointment. I think it was VERY unprofessional for this Dr. to do this. I do not recommend this office at all!
Took my sister to see Dr. Gajaweera (Dr. G) and was floored by her professionalism, kindness and understanding. She takes time with the patient as well as the patients family. She often stops speaking to say "Does anyone have any questions so far?" and then takes the time to listen and answer the question. I highly recommend this doctor.
She takes the time and explains everything.
Professional, Super kind and very helpful
Listens and explains completely. I also found her to be very caring. Rochester NY.
Waited months for this appointment. Now we have been sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes. Completely unprofessional.
I ended up with Dr. Gajaweera on a blind referral as we were back n ROC after moving away a few years ago. I'm struggling with what we believe are vestibular migraines and was lucky enough to get in on short notice. I came prepared and found her very engaged, thorough and patient. The office was also able to get me an MRI appointment on short notice. So far I'm very happy.
Dr. Gajaweera turned us off immediately. When my 78 year old father was given his forms to fill out in the waiting room, he and mother sat and completed them. We didn't have to wait long. As we were on our way to the exam room, my father asked to use the rest room. Dr. G was visibly annoyed. As the appointment resumed, she was not patient with my parents questions, and made them nervous. I do NOT recommend this doctor for elderly patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
