Dr Bessette has been my Dr for approximately 26 yrs. He did my knee replacement and has treated me for numerous problems. He is an excellent Dr and surgeon. He listens and takes his time. I couldn't ask for a better Dr and he'll be missed tremendously not being my Dr anymore because of his retirement.

Recently had my second major knee surgery with Dr. Gary Bessette and could not be more impressed with his knowledge, genuine patient care and humanity. I would recommend Dr Bessette to anyone who needs knee surgery without a second thought. You feel as if you are his only patient and he never makes you feel rushed or as if your concerns are not valid. I had ACL reconstruction one week ago along with additional arthroscopic work. Besides normal discomforts I have been without any significant pain. Dr Bessette is a true medical professional who puts patients concerns first.

Dr. Bessette is a top notch doctor. In addition to being a skilled surgeon, he was wonderful with our 17 year old son! The staff in the office are also very friendly and efficient.

Dr. Bessette, and the staff are always courteous, professional and great at what they do. Dr. Bessette always lets me know exactly what's going on and I trust him completely. He's reconstructed my left knee and replaced my right. In addition, he repaired the torn rotator cuff in my shoulder. The surgeries went flawlessly and my repaired parts are all performing well! I've been treated with kindness and respect by the staff at all times! Couldn't recommend them more highly.

Dr Bessette is a very talented surgeon. He performed arthroscopic surgery on my knee for a torn meniscus about 6 or 7 months ago. Feeling great now!

No problems at this point with the surgery itself. Customer service and bedside manner is important to me and could use improvement. Inconsistent - some staff helpful, others rude and unprofessional. Surgeon sometimes friendly, other times seems inconvenienced. Still under their care since surgery is recent but I find myself feeling reluctant to call with questions or request assistance with insurance questions. For that reason, I would choose differently in the future.

I went to Dr Bessette for a second opinion on a recommendation for meniscus surgery on my knee. Dr Bessette took X-rays and recommended a cortisone injection instead of surgery as I had bone on bone arthritis . He felt the meniscus surgery would not work. He was very kind and took time explaining things and made me feel very good.
