My Mother was taken care of by the staff at Kirkhaven for many years. Caring for someone with Alzheimer's/Dementia is extraordinarily difficult even for trained professionals. They did a phenomenal job and the staff was amazing. It is a clean, well run facility and I recommend it highly.

My sister Donna, was sent to Kirkhaven by Rochester General for rehab. After her rehab she was sent into there nursing home section without the family knowledge and now Kirkhaven is charging a huge bill for her care. Her social care worker even admitted that Donna does not belong there. I have not paid Kirkhaven a dime yet for the terrible thing they did for my sister. There just trying to get all her money first and then put her on Medicaid, we will probably go to trail over this, but there not going to get away with this, I'm ready to fight this.

My Aunt Debbie went to Kirk Haven as a Transitional care patient. I’m sorry to say her health declined rather rapidly. Kirk Haven’s staff including, the head nurse Doreen who is one of the most caring and considerate people I’ve ever met. Everyone !, from the Nurse Practitioner Helene, the Social Worker Donna, Kelly in admissions, to all the nurses and aids were wonderful. No Regrets !!!Treat people the way you would want to be treated. 😃

Failed, Failed, Failed, did not communicate with family. Resident fell many times. Poor customer service.

After the treatment or the lack there of for my father-in-law I wouldn't take a sick animal here...Sure it starts off friendly enough and then once they have you the fun starts...He was there for wound care which only got worse as they had him, eventually he had to return to the hospital in worse shape than when they admitted him into Kirkhaven...We turned them into the state and after 3 months we heard back from them and they were no help whatsoever, seems somebodies getting paid...Trust me don't send a loved one here under no circumstances...

This nursing home administration cares more about their “policies” than the well-being of patients. Even when you plead your loved ones case because they no longer can advocate for themselves, they simply don’t care. Truly disgusting

Very poor treatment at Kirkhaven. They did not keep the family aware of my mother's status. We called everyday to see how she was doing. She fell a couple of times the first 24 hrs she was at this facility. The "failed failed failed failed" If I could give a zero rating I would. Beware!
