Outstanding surgeon and human being. Helped me through the worst time of my adult life. I can not say enough good things about Dr Shah. If he is your surgeon, you’re blessed.
Dr Shah performed a spinal fusion on me almost 3 years ago. As a hospital employee I observed Dr Shah and his care of incredibly complex patients and had immediate deep respect and admiration for him. When he and his wonderful PA Jaime noticed the terrible pain I was in the caring began! I received excellent care, a successful surgery and had a great recovery. I had wonderful support from Dr Shah's office staff who are incredibly competent and equally pleasant. I'm so lucky I got to meet this Saint of a man and that he operated on me. I have to say that the negative reviews I've read hear are laughable. Where did you find these people? They could absolutely not be referring to the finest Dr I've ever met. That's after I've had over 39 years of health care employment. Thank you
Dr Shah is a fantastic neurosurgeon and a wonderful human being. His surgical skills are paired nicely with his super pleasant attitude, caring and patience. He fixed my back with a great spinal fusion so I’m living pain free and functioning great. He’s the best.
He saved my life, need I say more
Dr. Shah is caring and a wonderful surgeon. I had severe back pain for years and was given all differing diagnoses. Dr. Shah put pinpointed the cause, sharing the info in a way I could understand. I felt confident about him performing my surgery (summer of 2017). I was back at work in 7 weeks, and most importantly, my excruciating lumbar pain was gone.
Dr. Shah performed my spinal fusion surgery over 3 years ago in January of 2017. He took amazing care of me and his expertise resulted in a great outcome that has allowed me to resume/ continue many activities that were quite painful and limited. He’s a highly competent and intelligent human being who possesses a huge heart and wonderful manner. I’m blessed I met him. It was my observations of him performing his duties at Mercy Medical Center where I worked as a Respiratory Therapist that made me aware of his incredible competence and caring. You can’t find a finer doctor and human being
Dr.Shah explained everything about my condition. He did t get to technical so that my wife and I could t understand. When another issue came up we called his office and even though he was on vacation he read the results from an x ray and called my home. I feel this is just a quality of a doctor who cares about his patients. thank you
Dr. Shah is very rude. He made offensive comments to me after my surgical procedure. During the follow-up, I told him I was in severe pain and didn't feel comfortable going home so soon. He tells me I'm milking the system and treating the hospital as a hotel. I was only there overnight when he made these comments and I was deeply offended. I live in a beautiful home with recent upgrades/renovations. I have no reason nor is it in my character to milk the system & use hospital as hotel.
He's very nice.....until you have a problem! After major surgery I knew something was wrong. I was ignored, mocked, told to come in, only to be told " what could possibly be wrong?" Like I'm the doctor! If I knew, I wouldn't need to get a ride all the way there, just for him to not even look at the incision!! When I finally had another specialist look at me, i had serious life threatening issues caused by the surgery, one could have been fixed had he taken my complaints seriously. Instead, I live with the aftermath and am now disabled. Proceed with caution! Hes a nice man, but refuses to acknowledge any issues that might arise from his surgery, even if it means your life! It makes me so upset. All I wanted was help. Once you have surgery, he is a whole different person!
I was deeply offended with Dr. Shah came by to follow up and told me I was trying to milk the system by overstaying in hospital. I was only there one night when he said this so I'm confused by that comment. He said I was using the hospital as a hotel which is hilarious. I live in a beautiful home and I don't need to use any hospital as a hotel. I could have responded back in a rude manner but I was raised better than that.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
