List of Ajay Goel's Reviews
I have been waiting 3 weeks for my referral to even be looked at and every time I call, the receptionist is extremely rude to me.
Unprofessional and only worried about their bottom line $$$. I reached out multiple times regarding an initial video consultation charge, in which Dr Goel was over 20 minutes late. I ended up hanging up, at which point his Office Manager "Wife" called me to ask why I never logged in and suggested that I log back in (which I did). Needless to say, when you schedule time off for an appointment, the expectation is that Physician is on time, as is expected of the patient. 20 minutes of waiting for a 5 minute consultation with a $250 dollar charge. Moral of the story, my time isn't any less valuable than your time. Should I be billing you $750?
Dr Goel is kind, thorough and very easy to understand. I have enjoyed meeting him and especially enjoyed my colonoscopy procedure because of him and his staff.
I really like Dr Goel he has done my colonoscopy twice but this time I had a biopsy for 3 polyps and its been a month with no results I keep calling his office they say he has them and will call me but still hasnt
Only have seen him once. Usually shuffled to a NP who doesn't appear to understand my condition. Unable to ever get a hold anyone in office, always a machine. When you get a call back it is from one of the unprofessional, rude receptionists. In person they are equally curt, and talk about other patients in front of you when you are checking out. Ever hear of Hippa? He may want to clean up his office staff, they reflect badly on his practice.
One of the shortest wait times I've ever had in a doctor's office. Dr. Goel's office called me the day I was referred to him, which is nice because I was told it could take up to two weeks to get an appointment. His staff was very professional and kind. I needed a procedure done, he worked around my schedule to fit it in. He answered all my questions and had no problem explaining in more detail issues I was having. All around I feel I'm in capable hands.
I have been a patient of Dr. Goel's for over ten years. He has closely followed my ongoing medical condition while working with Boston hospital. I find him to be knowledgeable, attentive and professional.
I went to Dr. Goel and was told I had to have my gallbladder removed he then sent me to syracuse for more scans and to meet with the surgeon who told me i do not need it taken out. They have had 15 different Dr's all of the same opinion at the Upstate Cancer Center Colleen "dr. Goels np" insists they are wrong In the year they have mis diagnosed and goofed off I am now a candidate for a liver transplant and have a number of health problems as a result!
I am very unhappy with Dr. Goel and his staff. Was seen several times and 3 trips to the ER for severe constipation and was told the I might need surgery with another Dr. in Rome. One trip to Syracuse to a great Doctor and was told no surgery and given a list of foods to eat and over counter medicine and everything is great! The medicines I was given by Dr. Goel and his assistant did not work and cost over 350.00 each. He never address how to change my diet. Office would not get back.
He is an excellent and caring doctor, and diagnoses and researches my entire health situation more thoroughly than my GP. I highly recommend him, and friends and family switched to him after my recs, and they are glad they did.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
