Dr. Sommer's performed my Surgery on Jan 10, 2023. What a wonderful experience. I am down almost 100 lbs fromm highest weight, I am now a healthy BMI for the first time ever. I owe him my life. I have so much more energy, I finally am living the life I have always wanted to live. Thank you so much.

This has been the worst experience Ive ever had with any medical facility. I can't believe NYBG and Dr Sommer were recommended to me, as the experience I had was nothing short of despicable. This place makes the DMV look like a paradise of competence and efficiency. I paid out of pocket because I wanted the process to go as smooth and stress-free as possible. It’s a nightmare. Over $26000 later, 3 months post op and I'm still dealing with their billing mismanagement. Should have ran when the first red flag went up. I paid the initial $11k deposit and it took me 7 phone calls, 3 emails and 5 different representatives just to get an itemized receipt. To describe what happened after would take a novel, lets just say their dishonest billing practices and disorganization are unparalleled. I’m coughing after every meal, not sure if its normal but I’m looking for another place for my post-op care. Would never recommend NYBG.

Dr.Sommer was great surgery was really fast and the recovery was quick I’m down 64 pounds since October 31 and I feels great I got more energy I feel better about myself Sommers he’s a great guy

Absolutely love Dr. Sommer! I was at a different practice that gave me such a hard time I didnt want the surgery. One office visit with him and he showed such compassion and helped me so much that I decided to have the surgery. He truly cared and made sure everything was taken care of. He went above and beyond and changed my life!
