Dr. LaRosa has scoped both knees; Partial replacement of the left knee in 2004; Total replacement of the right knee in 2005; Carpal tunnel surgery on the left hand c.2006; And in January 2020 Dr. LaRosa performed emergency surgery to save my right knee after a staph infection attacked the artificial right knee. His surgical efforts were a success. Dr. LaRosa is a superlative surgeon. He is empathetic. He listens. He explains things in words of one syllable so you understand the problems, the issues and the solutions. When you walk out of his office, you know exactly what the problem is and the solution. And what I like above all else is that he is easy to talk with and he has a sense of humor. I would not consider any other Orthopedic Surgeon.
Dr larosa is extremely thorough. Zero infection rate compared to other physicians for knee and shoulder surgeries. He has done 2 surgeries on my elderly mother over the past 6 years, and she has recovered without any problems, and he has performed knee surgery on myself and I recovered with full range of motion as well. He has a great bedside manner and will tell you the truth about your situation. Only doctor I would ever trust and I am in the medical field. He has always been highly recommended by other health professionals I know in the community.
Phenomenal physician. Very thorough. Took time with my mom who suffers from dementia. Extremely personable. Office staff professional and pleasant. Fantastic experience!!!!
Very caring, professional and personal at the same time!
After two surgeries, one for a massive rotator cuff tear on my right shoulder including a bone spur and another for a major rotator cuff tear on my left shoulder and again with a huge bone spur, all done with delicate precision and ending with full range of motion on both arms. He is a fantastic surgeon and fully knows exactly what he is doing. Seems like he has it done to a science. Can be fully trusted and most capable orthopedic surgeon I have ever known. You can find him at Saratoga Orthopedics and also at Malta Orthopedics.
Dr. Operated on rt knee Aug.1992. He also repaired my father's rotator cuff Oct 2000. His work was excellent. We were sad to see him move from Utica office.
Had a painful knee and lower leg. He quickly assessed the problem and quickly cured the problem. The only unfortunate part was that I had to wait almost a month to get an appointment. Worth the wait. I'd seen him once before 3 years ago. In that instance he prescribed medicine and directed me to a wonderful p.t. person. Once again, a quick cure.
dr.larosa was on call at Saratoga hospital when I came in with mind bending pain,he came and talked about his findings from films and blood work,he spoke to us with respect and empathy for my situation and at the end of our conversation we knew what had to happen in order for me to get back to living my life
Dr Larosa is an excellent Orthopedic Surgeon. He has a great personality and is really excellent in his work as an Orthopedic Surgeon. He just repaired a massive tear on the rotator cuff of my right shoulder. He still will be doing the same on my left shoulder as soon as the right shoulder heals and I have completed my physical therapy. He also took care of my right wrist that a fractured years ago. I cannot say enough about his excellent work.
my fiance and i were on vacation in Saratoga he was complaining about his big toe, he was admitted to Saratoga hospital , after 17 hours he finally saw Dr. Larosa and was told that he would have to amputate his big toe, (with no tests given) needless to say we left the hospital went home to carmel ny , and he was admitted to Putnam Hospital , i would like to report he was treated with Antibiotics and wound care by Dr. Berman and happy to say they considered amputation!! no thanks to Dr. Larosa
Had hip replacement surgery in 2013. Other hip is bothering me. Dr. Larosas holds himself and his staff to the highest of standards. His surgery and after care is a work of perfection from beginning to end! He is confident in what he does and expects his patients to follow his directions. He gives you clear explanations of the problem. He does not rush you into surgery, but has his patient exhaust more conservative courses of treatment first. He has a record of no infections, following his surgeries. This is because of his straightforward approach and strict course of treatment which is necessary. It is almost four years after my surgery and I've had no problems or pain whatsoever! I can not say enough about Dr Larosas, and will definitely look to him to take care of my other hip.
He is only concerned about getting the insurance money from his surgery's and meeting his surgery quota..staff is downright miserable and unfriendly.. would never do any type of business again with these people..his staff and himself have sadly become whores that work for the insurance companies money..not for the patients..
Dr LaRosa was just opening his practice in Utica, NY when I met him for a knee injury. The surgery went well, and I was very pleased with his professionalism. Several years later, he repaired my 78-year old father's shoulder tear. He made a 100% recovery and is still healthy. We were very sad to see Doctor leave central NYS. He was a very kind and compassionate doctor for me and my father.
