Our appointment was scheduled by his staff for 8 am. For 40 minutes we were waiting. When he finally showed up he made us feel like we are doing him a favor. The entire "consultation " appointment lasted less than 10 minutes for which he charged $125.00.... our time did not matter to him.... he had an audacity to tell us that he was doing us a favor! There are many different surgeons in our area. Find a different one.

* If you have severe anxiety (particularly with dentistry), please take the time to read this review. If you dont- read it anyway. * I have terrible anxiety. I have a mini panic attack whenever I go to my normal dentist office (although they're all lovely as well- it's really a me thing, not a them thing). However, when I go to Great Oak Oral Surgery, I'm actually excited. I look forward to seeing Dr Farren, who handles himself with a calm composure and has gone above and beyond to help put any fears or anxieties I have at ease without judgement. Hilary, Mackenzie, and Meghan (surgical medical staff) have fun, contagious, uplifting personalities and humor. When you're with them, it's almost like you're with friends. It's not what you'd expect from an oral surgeons office, but it sets a high standard for all dentistry in our area- surgical or not. I live in Troy and work in Clifton Park and I am 100% not only willing but eager to drive to Albany for this practice. From the moment you're greeted by the lovely front desk staff who are patient and kind- to the surgical staff who can make you laugh in a situation most people wouldn't be able to- to Dr Farren, who goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the results. I love this practice, and I would recommend it to anyone in the capital district.

The quality of care was excellent. My procedure was painless, and the results are excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Farren.

I highly recommend this practice. 5 stars is inadequate as the entire staff deserves 10 stars!!! Incredibly proficient, professional, and personable. Tina made the financial piece of the process as painless as possible while Dr. Farren made the actual procedure as painless as possible. McKenzie and Hillary in particular made my experience much less intimidating with their wonderful personalities and effortless efficiency. Thank you all!!!!

Wonderful staff. Excellent dentist. If oral surgery can be a good experience, it was in Dr. Farren's office.

I called this office for a second opinion for an ongoing issue with a failed implant. I just asked for a second opinion. The dentist advised the receptionist that I should call the original dentist who is having issues trying to resolve my implant failure. Why would you recommend going back to a surgeon who is having issues with your procedure? Sometimes a second opinion is needed to resolve an ongoing issue. I was considering going to this practice as my general dentist but I can see how much care they give to a patient. I wouldn't use this dentist if I had to!

Dr Farren and his staff are true professionals. They treat their patients with compassion and understanding. Would highly recommend them.

Would not look me in eye or communicate with me after sons traumatic surgery. No follow up care.

Dr Farren and his staff are a great group to be involved with. Nobody is excited about oral surgery but they kept me calm and relaxed and assured me over and over again (I was very nervous) they did a great job all the way around and I got 5 stars on my post op so I'm doing the same in return!

Was worried about implant...Dr Farren was kind and gentle and explained everything and it didnt hurt and was over fast it was ...almost fun! He is a gentle dentist and does an EXPERT job...i have had no problems. Perfect experience...
