Based on my Lyme experience ...if I am wrong, I will redact my review 100%... however, if you think you have Lyme... you better have the tick embedded in your skin, the ‘bullseye’ rash, and a clean psychological history. With that said- I went with a prior diagnosis from my internist of Lyme...I feel awful and have several debilitating symptoms, hoping an infectious disease doctor listing Lyme as one of his specialties- could help me. Well, I cried in his office and asked him to test me for SOMETHING if he didn’t think it was Lyme. Stone faced, he sent me back to my prior doctor WITHOUT EVER ASKING ME WHAT MY SYMPTOMS WERE... ONLY LOOKING AT THE BLOOD TEST RESULTS WHICH HE SAID COULD BE A FALSE POSITIVE.... He did take another blood test to negate the Lyme- after I was on a 3 week stint of antibiotics and months of feeling ill... but not one test more...And anyone who knows anything about the tests the CDC uses- it is 49% reliable either way. In short, NEVER have I felt less listened to and MORE frustrated. I know my body...when I’m ill, as opposed to somaticizing... just friendly advice.
