I took my family friend to Dr Rand a few months ago. I am giving a low review because he got a cell phone call during her exam, and he took it and talked on the phone for a solid 5 -7 minutes, kind of just ignoring her as the current patient. I thought that was unprofessional and rude and the call could have waited until the exam was over. It’s one thing to pick up the call and tell your associate you will call them back after the exam, but he just completely ignored the fact that she was there . Also at the end of the exam, he told her he had to go because he had other patients to see , which didn’t sit well with me considering he was on the phone for a good portion of her scheduled appointment time slot. I’m sure he’s a fine doctor, but that experience with him will not have us going back to him .

Dr Florakis did cross linking on my son’s left eye. That was a great experience. Trying to schedule the second eye has been a nightmare. The office is awful. It has now been almost two years since the left eye was done and after repeated attempts to schedule the second eye, I gave up. They schedule it then change last second... I went to another doctor that keeps appointments.

When my vision kept deteriorating after Lasik surgery, my regular ophthalmologist referred me to Dr. Florakis for a new vision procedure that could help me. He sent me to the best but I was disappointed that the next available appointment was almost 6 weeks away. My regular eye Doctor would not recommend anyone else. At my appointment, I found a courteous staff, and extremely thorough Doctors working with Dr. Florakis . Dr. Florakis explained the tests' results and next steps. He clearly and patiently answered my questions. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone with cornea issues.
