After 10 yrs of excruciating pain and a botched surgery, Dr Bronson completed a very complex 2 stage surgery on me and one month later I feel like a new man. I know I have a long way to go to be completely functional but the pain relief alone is well worth going through the surgery. I'm grateful for his excellent surgical ability.
Highly skilled surgeon, providing exceptional customer service and care through his very capable team. A breath of fresh air in the medical field - he listens, gives an honest evaluation, and follows up diligently post-surgery. I would highly recommend him!
As a patient and nurse myself I must commend DR Bronson. Your time and patience, answering "all" my questions allayed many of my fears. Thank you!
For several years I have been dealing with varying degrees of pain in my lower lumbar which would cause pain to radiate through my left side to my feet. In the beginning I used conservative treatments to counter the pain. I did injections as well as physical therapy, which did have moderate success for several years. About 8 months ago the pain started progressing to a point I could find no relief. I was dealing with constant numbness in my leg. I couldn't sleep, sit, walk....you name it, I was always in pain. I tried the epidural injections again with no success. My original pain management Dr who also works at Mt Sinai recommended Dr Bronson. I met with Dr Bronson who thoroughly explained what was happening after reviewing a new MRI. With great detail Dr Bronson explained to me with the images of the MRI as well as with a model of a spine what was happening, and how he was going to remedy it. His bedside manner has always been professional, concerned, reassuring and never rushed. Dr Bronson and myself both agreed that the prior treatments have run their course and that I was now a good candidate for lumbar surgery on my L4-L5, L5-S1 vertebrae. I was ultimately diagnosed with spinal stenosis which happened to run on my mothers side of them family. I am now 4 weeks post surgery and have had no nerve pain whatsoever in my lower left half. I am still a little sore from surgery as expected and explained to me, but I am pain free. The healing process has been great and seams to be going well "knock on wood". I still have several more follow up appointments with the Dr and his staff but so far couldn't be happier. Dr Bronson truly is a talented surgeon who has ultimately given me a new lease on life. I would also like to add just as Dr Bronson has been available to me for questions and concerns pre and post surgery, so has his staff. I have never found myself waiting, or wondering what's next, and never have had to wait for any answers or help from his office. Just a quick description of me for anyone wondering....I am a 38 year old 6'2" 210lb male, who is a blue collar worker of relatively good health and an active lifestyle. I can't stress enough how much my life has changed for the better in just 4 weeks! I hope this is a help to anyone thinking about getting surgery.
Listens, isn’t in a rush to operate, explains what’s wrong clearly and patiently and makes me feel like he genuinely cares about my health.
Dr. Bronson was extremely helpful, patient, open, and caring surgeon. I had ACDF on 2 levels and it took me from barely being able to use my left arm and couldn't even lay down or sit down for more than 10 minutes. 6 months post surgery I have 100% resolution to all symptoms. Every visit he explained everything he was seeing to me and always asked me if I had any questions about anything, which I did and he was patient and clear in explaining any questions I had. Surgery was scheduled quick and was a miracle for me. highly recommended!
Dr. Bronson is an excellent surgeon. He patiently explained the procedure to me and put me at ease with any doubts I had. He was easy to speak with and answered any questions I emailed him. Because of this, I was able to proceed with a peace of mind that allowed me to go forward with the surgery and heal well. I highly recommend him :)
I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Bronson. I was in enormous pain from a herniated lumbar disc. Dr. Bronson fully explained the situation and our plan. Surgery went flawlessly and it's no exaggeration to say he gave me my quality of life back. BTW, as if that wasn't enough, post-surgery checkup appointments were efficient and thorough.
I am an athletic, in-shape 64 year old male who has a degenerative spine condition, consisting of severely herniated lumbar, thoracic and cervical discs, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, and loss of strength and numbness in 3 limbs. The upshot of this is severe, chronic pain, frequently excruciating, and difficulty in walking. I'm a surfer, skier, swimmer, and I can suddenly hardly walk. Dr. Bronson was dismissive, claiming my thoracic spine was "normal" that surgery wasn't an option there. His bedside manner is cold, uncaring, almost terse. He lacks simple common manners. I was sent to see him after spending a the ER, and was able to see him on short notice, which I now see in hindsight, there was a reason for. The good news is, Dr. Bronson motivated me to see a good spine surgeon. If you have cervical spine issues, he may be your guy-- he clearly knows his stuff. Like all spine surgeons, he's willing to do an ACDF operation. I, however, will not be going back to see him.
Dr. Bronson changed my perspective on having surgery and was so amazing during the entire process. I am glad to have found him.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
