The infrastructure there is collapsing I don't suggest going there if you're trying to seek help they couldn't even write my script and send it to my pharmacy very unprofessional place unsatisfied.
Conifer Park use to be a good rehab @ one time not anymore. Now it’s a COVID-19 farm. Secrets about COVID not testing when they should. Bad news
Terrible programming and completely disorganized. Staff belong to the CWA-1100 union - communication workers of America. No one-on-one counseling. Conifer is no longer a treatment facility. Their treatment is what was being offered in the 1950’s. Extreme HIPAA violations. I will never recommend this facility to anyone.
This place has serious procedural flaws and is very understaffed at the moment. They blame covid for most of the problems going on and the clinical staff or never on the same page. Most of the TA's that work there are great and really do care about their line of work tho.
The pictures they use to advertise are of rooms not in use and not falling apart like the rest of the facility. Make sure you bring any and all medications you might need because they won’t fill your scripts for you. Don’t take any of the staff’s word, especially evening MOD’s, because they don’t always do what they say they will do no matter how many times you ask them promise to follow through. They are unorganized and there’s an obvious communication issue throughout the facility- you have to tell several people that, for example, you’re a vegetarian to get food without meat even days later. They wanted me to keep a dirty bandaid on the infection on my arm, rather than even look at it, with “hopes it’ll just get better on its own”. The place is so dirty and rundown. There’s halfway patched holes all over, rust, mold/mildew growing on the bathroom ceilings, the caulking on the shower and tub is old, mildewed, and falling apart. The three days I was there, someone who was not local to the area went MIA by walking off the grounds and never returning. The lack of concern by the staff made me really uncomfortable. Two people signed themselves out of detox and were allowed back onto the unit a few hours later, stumbling and slurring their words, obviously no longer sober. Dr. F doesn’t believe everyone is an individual, he will constantly compare you to other patients and how treatment has worked for other people. Overall I didn’t get the feeling everyone there had my best interest in mind or was really listening to what I had to say. I was told I can’t more than I can.
This is not a treatment facility but rather a jail. I have bots spamming oasas with 5 different algorithms. Not gonna let anyone get in there. For their own sake
Back in the day this was a decent rehab. Pre 2010, sad to say I've spent several visits. Today avoid if possible.
It’s such a shame to hear all these negative comments. I went to CP in the 80’s when they first opened. It was a different world then unfortunately with some of the same problems. The place was great it was compared to the Betty Ford Clinic at the time. The staff was great the food was gormet and the place was immaculate. I learned a lot there and took it with me. I hv. Fond memories of this place and hold them very close to my heart. I’m sure everyone who has written a negative comment was not serious about their recovery and went out the doors the exact same way they came in. So good luck to all of you I hope u find the way. It’s not the place it’s you. Thank you conifer park.
If you are there for the right reasons then there is much that Conifer Park can offer you. My counselor was extremely helpful and supportive. The staff running programs and groups were very knowledgeable and also listened and cared. The food was wonderful and there were plenty of activities to choose from during recreational times. If you can stay focused and remember to just work on yourself I highly recommend Conifer Park.
There is a true belief that there is a REAL time and place to be honest, truthful with yourself & your addiction.Having and building a strong central lsupport, assistance & building a network of peers is critical in achieving sobriety and continued sobriety....Please....Find a place that has the staff who is educated, caring, and committed to each individual and groups. Even upon discharge.
Let me tell you something. If you a addict. A ADDICT!!! and forgot how to make a bed or sleep in one, if you forgot what time to eat or how many times, if just need to remember to brush your teeth this place is for you. I was and still am a Addict i know i am because everytime i relapse i go full throttle until i hit a cell. Rehabilitation means get up and do what mommy taught you at minimum and continue on being the greatest human being possible. Alcohol and drugs tend to make us feel as if its alright, it'll be alright, or dont care if its alright or not. Dont go to rehabilitation for it to work, go to make it work. -Michael Loyd Jr (Populah Da Man)
I read the good reviews, and rolled the dice that the bad reviews were just from grumpy people. That being said, I made a huge mistake! We will start with the grounds. The grounds are passable, and when you are allowed to go outside they can be enjoyable as there is an outdoor track area, as well as activities like kickball and sand volleyball. You are allowed outside a total of 1 hour a day in good weather. You may also go out on the patio for 40 minutes during activities. The food is okay at best. The chicken resembles an extremely dried baked pigeon. The salad bar consists of choice of iceberg or spinach and occasionally olives cucumber and tomato. Choice of two dressings tops it off. Not exactly a world-class salad bar. The menu changes frequently, but very frequently it's something that you are less than impressed with. But it was mostly all edible so I would give it a 3.If You're expecting privacy in your room, you will not get it! The rooms are spacious so they are filled with bunks. Each room has four men in it and they are connected with one bathroom in between another room. So you have one bathroom for eight men, you can see where this might be an issue in the morning.you are allowed to control the temperature in your room and this sounds like a good thing! Except with four men in the room nobody will ever agree 2 a specific temperature. So guaranteed you will either be freezing or hot.also with four men in the room, you have no idea which one of them is stealing your gear! And there is a good chance one of them will be a thief. The staff are an assorted lot. some of them are absolutely miserable with their lives and their jobs! They make this very apparent in dealing with the clients. some of them are there to help clients, and they try their hardest to overcome the bad ones. Most of them are just there for their paycheck and will be nice if you are nice to them but they will hardly go out of their way to help you. Medications are routinely extremely late, or barely announced. It just depends on the nurse. There are two awesome nurses, pray that you get one of them more often.there are relatively frequent groups during the week however they aren't very productive. If you get one of the staff that really cares, you will get a group that goes well and is productive. however of course the odds are that you will get staff that either are there for just a paycheck, or truly hate their lives and their jobs.I could go on with much more, but I'm going to stop now, I gave it one star, it may deserve two.absolutely no more than that until it gets a total turnaround.PS, there are no vending machines on site anymore so don't bring any money, I had a few bucks on me and change and never got it back. Do not bring cigarettes as they dispose of them as soon as you are on site. You do not get them back when you leave. Do not bring laundry detergent unless it is sealed. Other items such as markers, colored pencils, highlighters, and things of this nature are at the discretion of whomever's searching your bag at the time. Also get ready for a strip search upon entering. This is very invasive and you are nude save for a paper gown. For those of you that have ever been incarcerated it is very similar to that search.
Not impressed with how they mess with peoples sobriety. Stick with one date and it keep it that way! The people we love are trying to get help, meanwhile you're messing with them. Disgusting.
This place is the worst! They get pre-authorization, before the day of admission and still have you sit around all afternoon to get a second approval from insurance company, then send you back home at 5:00 because they did not hear back from insurance co. Make you pay your deductible to them before admitting you but don't reflect the payment on the claim to insurance company. They tell you they will refund you, but can't say how long it will take. Don't see the case manager until the day before you are supposed to leave even though you have been there for 2 weeks. They don't even deserve the 1 star I had to click in order to post review!
This rehab provided ME with the distance away from home and the time that I needed in order for me to re-focus myself. The food was very good And they give big portions, so you're definitely fed well. On the flip side } they don't have many therapeutic groups, so it's best that an individual make the best of them when they're held ... REGARDLESS of what someone else does is doesn't do because you'll encounter lots of negative comments, etc about the facility. Mostly because an individual is either mad, upset, depressed, shameful, etc because they're even there. Its easier for people to focus on others and other things, rather than being honest and accountable for their own mistakes and choices in life. * Another thing ... they don't give residents much outdoor or recreation time. And the residents are kinda confined to their own wing / small section of the building. So I do STRONGLY suggest that they reconstruct / re-evaluate that issue because people need room / space to be able to GET into themselves sometimes and this rehab didn't offer that !
This is the worst rehab I have ever been to in my life. Not that I'm proud to say I've been to more than one, but unfortunately I have and this place is horrible. I can't emphasize this enough to make you understand how bad this place is. I am going to call Oasis today to write a grievance on all of my patients bill of rights that have been broken! I just completed yesterday, yes I stayed and and sucked it up and wrote down everything they did to me that was illegal and just plain wrong!!! From the first moment I stepped in that place it was complete chaos. They are not organized once so ever, and don't get me started on the medical aspects of this place. I acquired pink eye and thrush while here and they wouldn't even look at me let alone treat me. Also they took me off all of my psych meds including my antidepressant. They seem to categorize everyone together as if we're all the same and need all the same meds, because everyone I talked to was put on all the same meds no matter what diagnosis they had or drugs they used. Most of the day staff there were pretty nice and caring. Oppose from the medical and councilors who only seemed to care about the money aspects of their jobs. Now on a positive note, the food is really good and sometimes u can get seconds. Warning, you will gain weight because they give you more than 5000 calories a day!!! They also have a hot tub and indoor pool, but not worth going here just for the food and activities. You will leave pulling your hair out wanting to relapse. Just saying.....
My husband recently went there and got bit up by bed bugs and when he told staff they didnt do anything but argue with him and his body was covered on bites he was extremely uncomfortable
I was there in 93 they wou6 not lemme keep my asthma inhaler one 24 he had to give it back to the nurse so I left in 2 day by bus to NYC 4 hrs
My son was sent here for inpatient rehab on 8/19/19 and was discharged on 9/2/19 (Labor Day) with no discharge plan and two prescriptions (Trazadone and Wellbutrin) that he could have very well filled and overdosed on if he were suicidal at the time. I would recommend that you DO NOT send any of your loved ones here. How do you release an 18 year old boy with obvious substance abuse and mental health issues to the streets with medication that he could use to kill himself? Very unprofessional and unethical and they should not be responsible for anyone's family member.
Dont ever go here. Unless you want to completely loose your mind
