Dr. Shapiro was wonderful. He and his entire staff are all very knowledgeable, and willing to do anything to help the patient recover as quick & well as possible. I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro.

I had a consultation with Dr. Kenneth Shapiro for a hemorrhoid problem. We started discussing it and I asked if keeping the area dry would be beneficial. He remarked "that will be hard to do being you're a BIG girl." I am a 31 year old woman who is a little overweight. This comment was insensitive and rude, and really hurt my feelings. There was no need for him to say that. He has a terrible bedside manner besides, was not professional, and practically treated the consult like it was a joke. He was acting strange, making wisecracks, and just made me feel awkward. In general, he made me feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! In all my life I have never been treated this way by a doctor. I ran out of his office in tears after waiting for two hours to see him without even finishing the consult. Dr. Shapiro, you should be ashamed of yourself for treating a patient so rudely. Please, anyone who reads this review, DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR - STAY AWAY!

I was looking for a surgeon close by where I live and happen to find a surgeon not to far from where I live and found one at 1578 Williamsbridge rd Doctor Kenneth Shapiro. I was having bad stomach pain and I had already gone to the Hospital a week before and got a CT Scan done so I went to Dr Shapiro with enough information for him to work with and I have to say it was the worst experience visiting Dr Shapiro and never again will I go there after my one and only visit. Dr Shapiro did not do anything but told me to take a laxative I was so confuse cause he just looked at my Lab work and read it to me...Hello Dr Shapiro wake up and work for your money because I got the CT Scan done a week ago so duh Lab work was already read to me a week ago. He also did not check my Stomach area for anything did not press by the belly area to see where my discomfort and pain was Coming from. He seem like he was in a rush to leave and did not even give me a piece of mind of what it might be He(Dr.Shapiro Kenneth)was just very unprofessional and I highly recommend any patient that is thinking of Visiting Dr. Shapiro to seek else where for a Surgeon cause Doctor Kenneth Shapiro is not professional at all.

He is the best. He understands brain injury and helps you to get the care you need from the medical world. I wish I had found him earlier after my injury. He cares about his patients and their progression to healing. He is straight forward and says it like it is which I appreciate and respect. When it comes to your health you need the truth not sugarcoating like many Dr's do. I am better able to live with my TBI Thanks to Dr. Shapiro. I highly recommend him.

He is rude and does not listen to you. He fell just short of calling me stupid for saying something he did not agree with. He did not write down in his report vital information that I told him. So the physical therapist was surprised when I told her certain symptoms. In the end he charged me $280 for a visit in which he told me he did not know the cause of my problem and could not help me.

I have to agree with the other reviewer. He is rude and does not want to listen to you. Also, after charging me for two visits totaling over $600, he told me that he could not help me and he simply did not know what was wrong with my back.
