Dr. Holmes has been my only cardiologist. He is very thoughtful, has a keen intellect and is a great communicator. He has his patient' best interests in mind and always takes the time to talk; he can easily explain any medical issues to his patients. Congratulations on your new job and promotion. I have been a patient of DR Holmes after being hospitalized for a possible cardiac event and undergoing a cardiac cath. As a nurse I hate being a patient however Dr Holmes was wonderful! He took his time, explained things, was very thorough, and didn’t make me feel rushed. All qualities that seem hard if not impossible to find in an MD these days. I would def recommend him to anyone especially if your scared and make a horrible patient.

I have told my family, "Dr. Holmes will be the one to save your mother's life." I have lived in Alaska, Virginia, and West Virginia and he continues to be my go-to doctor. He continues to be my doctor because I implicitly trust him. He is great at returning phone calls when I want to speak with him. He is very reassuring, patient and tolerant.

Dr. Holmes is humble, deeply knowledgeable, and was recommended to me by other doctors. Over the years as his patient, I see time and again why doctors would recommend him. He has guided me through open heart surgery and an unknown connective tissue disorder looked into by Johns Hopkins. Even the routine checkups are thoughtful and helpful. He's an active partner in heart health and overall health, and he coordinates care with other practitioners very well. Wouldn't trade him for anyone.

If you or a relative needs a cardiologist, I would recommend Dr. Holmes. He is professional, kind, and sympathetic. He is willing to discuss and answer questions. He asks good questions and seeks to understand his patients, not just get them in and out like some docs. You get the sense he really cares about the well being of his patients.
