Dr. Samuel Dellenbaugh of Ortho NY, was assigned to be my doctor. I trusted him that he was professional and competent doctor. Unfortunately, he was neither of those. He performed 2 surgeries on my broken ankle and did not care or was very negligent of my leg swelling and the infection that was in my leg and nearly in my bones. If I continued the care with him, there was a strong possibility that I would have to have my leg amputated. Dr. Dellenbaugh never prescribed any antibiotics after my second surgery. I'm now under the care of a new doctor from a different practice in Albany and he has corrected my situation and almost completely eliminated all bacteria and infection in my legs. I'm on the right path now, but what should have been a 3-month. To get into PT will now take at least 9 months and I may have to walk with a limp for the rest of my life.
Dr Polishchuk and physical therapist Bob Ghizzoni were both excellent in the surgery and rehab of my broken patella.
I am an RN, I have been an RN for 35 years. I currently work at St. Peter’s Hospital. If I ever gave customer service like I JUST received from PA Melissa on the phone, I probably would be fired. She was absolutely horrible and rude, probably the rudest provider I have ever spoken to in my entire career. If I could give zero stars I would. I called the Schenectady office just now. I have been having side effects from a Cortizone shot that I received this week in my neck. In addition to the headache I have been experiencing, I have now developed nausea. I have been dealing with the side effects on my own because I tried calling the office during the week and it just rang and rang with no answer. When on call PA Melissa called me back. In a contemptuous voice she asked me “I just wonder why you haven’t called the office all week if you’ve been experiencing such bad side effects?”She also said “I don’t see any messages from you.”I explained to her that I had called the office, but no one answered.I asked for anti nausea medication. It was obvious at this point she could’ve cared less about my problem. At this point I said thank you and I hung up on her. Was she taught anything in PA school on how to talk to a patient?? Believe me, this will not end here. I will not stop until I speak with Dr. Jackson, the Office Manager, another MD from this practice (there has to be a medical director) and anyone else until I get an apology and a reason WHY I WAS TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. I am a medical professional myself and I would NEVER TALK TO A PATIENT LIKE THAT ESPECIALLY ONE WHO IS NOT FEELING WELL. Not only that, I was not warned of any severe side effects. I hope and pray it wasn’t because I’m a nurse. I have never gotten a cortisone shot in my neck before. I am furious in addition to not feeling well. Thanks so much Ortho NY for hiring such an unprofessional PA who needs some training in how to talk to patients. I hope she learns. Ann Foskett, RN
Wait time was really good,
A doctor upstairs was rude to us and a receptionist downstairs was rude to us too. Not going to the Schenectady office until they can be nice.
I wish my doctors secretary would accept insurance documents through email. They only accept fax and I don't have a fax machine. It's absurd in 2023 I have to drive an hour there and an hour back when I could send an email in 10 seconds.
Dr. Jackson and the staff took very good care of me. I'm looking forward to seeing him again.
They are wonderful, understanding and compassionate! 100% Recommended!! I'm grateful for their help and support
3 years ago I had my first cervical fusion which I have no issues with. However 2 years ago I had lumbar fusion. It failed and required spinal stimulator. In addition last scan shows loosening of screws which all research shows can cause the pain I have been experiencing that is 100 times worse since after my lumbar fusion. In addition the scan shows bulge disc in the fusion which of course then Dr Jackson referred me to both his spinal surgeons who one stated " I know your pain is real, and at 45 you shouldn't have to feel this way." Then they had me see Dr. Casio which didn't even examine me just read the same scan. Then I'm told pain doctor Dr Jackson "This has gone on long enough. You have been through the ringer. I am going to find a doctor for possible revision and pain pump. I will call you back two weeks." Then I heard nothing. I sent emails and called. Then after three years I spoke my mind and then all of sudden " We have exhausted everything,". This was just because I had enough and spoke my mind! Awful how they could do this to family man with kids. How they could just abandoned me with care.
Extremely great Dr's vary personable and know their stuff I would highly recommend

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
