"Unconditional positive regard" is a foundation of mental healthcare. Assuming I was seeking some narcotic (without ever meeting with me in person or talking to my current docs), Mittal was wildly insulting. He called me agitated at 8:30 AM yammering on about how he doesn't prescribe this med or that med. Frankly, I also felt a homophobic vibe from him, and even if that's the reason he was trying to steer me to other doctors, it's for the best. I'm not sure he can even understand English. I repeated myself multiple times to make things clear to him. Some people just shouldn't work in human services or health care. Wow!

Competent Psychiatrist and a good human being ,who gives you time to open up and listens to all your problems. Has been a patient for over 6 months now.
Very fulfilling 1st visit. Looking forward to get help with my mental health issues.
I see him in his private practice office . Very compassionate and competent Psychiatrist.
I made two visits. We didn't get along. I had no connection. He was Very condescending.
Best ever. Most competent--a rarity among this profession.
I have never come across such an awful Psychiatrist! As someone who has been in and out of various mental health places, seen multiple psychiatrists and therapists since 1995! That's WELL over half my life spent in this field as a patient. When I first walked through the door, Mr. Mittal had no idea I was even scheduled! He then sat me down and attempted to go over my medical history. It stressed me out that he jumped around from time frame to time frame, first asking me when my first hospitalization was and then jumped to a different topic, and then continued back to medical history. I tried to explain to him that I was only off my medicine for a couple months because I ran out of refills for my prescription and was unable to find a decent doctor for continued med management. He then said aloud he was listing me as only partially med compliant. Personally, I disagree. I would have been, and have always been, complaint if I hadn't had such a difficult time finding someone to help me. He then made a note aloud that I have an IUD....and proceeded to ask me if I'm "taking it regularly" That's a device that stays inside you from 5-10 years! How exactly can I NOT take it regularly? And I'm supposed to trust this guy to write me a script?! Then he prescribed me 100mg of Prozac. If anyone is smart enough, they will know this is dangerous!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING!!! Don't listen to those other 4 star reviews!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
