List of Peter H. Stier's Reviews
Run, do not walk, away from this terrible practice. They will be on their cellphone during your initial consultation. Treat you like a number and not a person, fail to hear or care about your concerns as Shawna will just tell you "we're a private practice and don't need you". My primary care physician requested a copy of my lab and ultrasound records be sent to her office to monitor my pregnancy independently ...
Dr. Stier seems genuinely concerned with patient’s well-being. It’s rare when a doctor takes extra time and clausits down to talk to you and listens to you. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Stier is very thorough and easy to talk to about any concerns. He definitely took his time and gave several options and recommendations. This is the second time I have seen Dr. Stier after switching from another doctor in another practice. I am so glad I made the switch!! I have recommended him to friends as well.
I had horrible experiences with numerous gynos in the area until I found Dr. Stier. He found my ovarian cancer when others were trying to treat me as if I had fibroids - no real testing, just fit because of my age I guess. Dr. Stier went ahead and did tests that others did not even consider. He has such a wonderful, gentle and caring manner as well.
No doctor is better than this egotist. I had ultrasound appointment yesterday. I was supposed to meet with doctor immediately after ultrasound. Instead, I got called in and told he had been held up in OR and would be at least an hour. I couldn't wait an hour and was told if I didn't, he would call. Doctor never called. Called when his office opened this morning and staff was rude and doc would call when he got around to it. Called more than 24 hours after appointment. Fired him as doctor.
RUDE COMMUNICATION. My mom had an ultrasound here for a fibroid. Dr discussed doing an external ultrasound only rather than intravaginal. Tech was very rude about this like she was disappointed she wouldn't get to watch my mom put a wand inside herself and pushed down harder on my mom than techs usually do like she was trying to make my mom urinate (the ultrasound has to be done on a full bladder). The doctor cancelled the follow up appt and office gave runaround about giving my mom's results.
BAD COMMUNICATION, RUDE STAFF. My mom had an ultrasound here for a fibroid. Dr discussed doing an external ultrasound only rather than intravaginal prior to her appt. The Dr spoke directly to my mom on the phone stating he would call her back that morning. He never called back so I called the office. The first-time I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. The 2nd time they said he hadn't reviewed the results yet and I said when can we expect him to. Then they were trying to claim my mom never spoke to Dr. Stier and it would be a nurse calling her back. I told them I was here and could hear that he spoke with her and asked why he told her that he stated himself that he would call her back. They didn't have an answer for me. Furthermore, my mom was supposed to receive the results the day before and the doctor had already told her he'd call that morning. The staff said they didn't know, maybe that afternoon. The doctor already told my mom that the fibroid had grown and we needed to discuss a care plan. The staff was very rude and the doctor was absentee. Avoid this practice at all costs.

No doctor is better than this egotist. I had ultrasound appointment yesterday. His ultrasound technician was downright creepy and made visible her anger that I had not agreed to a transvaginal ultrasound. My daughter and I both got the same creepy vibe from her like she was being deprived of something by not being allowed to do this invasive procedure and I wound up extremely glad I had brought my daughter with me. Add to that, I was supposed to meet with doctor immediately after ultrasound. Instead, I got called in and told he had been held up in OR and would be at least an hour. I’m chronically ill as the doctor was already aware of and had medical transport waiting in parking lot. I simply couldn't wait an hour and was told if I didn't, he would call. This was after first being told I could discuss with NP then when I was willing to at least hear that much told no I would have to wait for doctor because only he knew the history. Doctor never called. Called when his office opened this morning and staff was rude and yelling at me and told too bad, too sad about my plans for the day but he would call when he got around to it after discussing with technician. I asked why he didn't call yesterday and was told because I left. Apparently leaving didn't entitle me to 10 minutes attention I supposedly would have got if I had waited and hung up the transport company and, worse, made myself iller as my illness was already flaring from the ultrasound procedure. It took having to curse at staff to get any action and to get around lies. First I would be told he was with a patient, then he wasn't in yet, then he had to discuss the findings with the ultrasound tech then finally after being put on hold for five minutes before hanging up and redialing several times, I finally got doctor who said the fibroid we were checking the growth of was bigger, quote, unquote but he would call back later this morning. At noon, no call. My daughter who was over to celebrate my birthday with me called deciding to handle the matter. My daughter is normally patient, but wound up demanding (politely) the results of the ultrasound I was supposed to get yesterday but was given the run around and told doctor would call back this afternoon. He and gave me measurements and it turns out that it had not grown. Asked where we go from here and was told MRI either immediately or in three months. I had no intention of returning to him at this point so I said so in three months, I should call to arrange that and he said we have to discuss whether we want to continue the patient-doctor relationship because I was upset at HIS not keeping the appointment and was further upset by his rude staff. I replied you are so fired and hung up. I will follow up with a new ob/gyn, not go to this jerk who has no respect for his patients.
Dr. Stier has a great bedside manner and really cares about his patients. He takes the time to go over all of the information and answers all of your questions. I would (and have) recommend him to my family and friends for all of their OB/GYN needs. The office staff is great and the office is clean. Sometimes there is a long wait, but it is worth it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
