List of Long Island Digestive Disease Consultants's Reviews
I was a patient of Dr Seth Persky for close to 20 years. I have recently moved to Florida, where I need to find a new gastroenterologist. I hope to get the same treatment here. I don't think I could have had better treatment in NY than what Dr Persky has provided - He's the best. Always attentive to my health needs.
I live in Florida now and still come here. I would not trust anyone else They are so thorough and professional and always on top of their game!! Dr keshner is simply the best
Good doctors
Highly recommend Dr. Coman for anyone in need of a gastroenterologist. Knowledgeable, attentive, and action-oriented.
This facility doesn't even deserve 1 star. I had a Colonoscopy for preventative measures done there and was told by my insurance company that it was going to be covered 100%. I specifically went to this center because had I gone to my primary I would have been charged an office visit just for him to refer and send me to one of these direct Colonoscopy centers. So I go to Long Island Digestive Center have the procedure and what do they do, send me a bill for an office visit. So I contact my insurance company and they tell me they coded it for non-preventative instead of for preventative treatment. So when I called LI Digestive center to inform them what my insurance company had said I was connected to the biller Candace McCartan and she was so rude and non understanding of my situation and just said no its not wrong and you have to pay it or otherwise it goes to collections. No matter how I explained it to her she just kept interrupting me and talking over me and wouldn't even give me the time of day. I'm currently in appeal with them and hoping I can get this resolved without paying them when I'm not supposed to. This facility not only billed my insurance company but they're trying to squeeze more out of me dishonestly. I will never go back to them and will try my best to sway every friend, relative or anyone looking for this type of service from them. STAY AWAY unless you want to be billed unnecessarily as well. UPDATE: So like I anticipated my insurance company AETNA told me they were charging me a consultation fee when they weren't supposed to. They were contacted and told by AETNA to reverse any collections and I was informed by both LI Digestive Center and AETNA to disregard any billing related to this preventative Colonoscopy visit. It's been awhile since that visit but I wanted to make people aware that they are dishonesty trying to collect a consultation fee prior to this totally covered treatment because this procedure is covered by all insurance companies as a preventative measured treatment so if you do happen to go there, and I don't recommend it, don't let them tell you it depends on the insurance company because it's covered by all and you can confirm this with your insurance company. I won't be returning there.
Im a new patient. Dont hav an opinion yet. So far Dr. Coman has been helpfull, he is a gastro doctor, im still quite new so ill have more to say when i know. Ok it's been 4 months, Dr.Coman personally called me 2 times, concerned about how my gastric emptying test went. The test didn't turn out good. Anyway I rarely get calls from actual doctors so I am impressed with that and he seems to care more than other doctors. Think I found the rite G.I doctor finally. Ok heres my update. I am going on 10 months as a patient. My last visit he seemed a little less concerned about my progressive problems, he prescribed me a pill from canada. And i had to ask him if i should have an endoscopy done, i feel that shouldve been recommended. He agreed with it and said someone will call you. Other than that im gonna stick with him. Good luck everybody. Ok heres another update... Dr. Coman turned out to be one of the worse doctors ive ever had. My last last endoscopy was 3 months ago, came up not good. He has yet to even talk about the results with me, if it werent for the nurse at the hospital telling me the results werent good i still wouldnt even know 3 months later. What kind of doctor doesnt go over bad test results asap? So the search for a good doctor continues. But there might not be any more good ones.
My doctor is ok I do like her. On the other hand the people at the desk do not know how to speak to people. I just got off the phone with someone who had to cancel my appointment due to them not giving me the surprep for my colonoscopy when I called. Left voice mails. Nothing. Then this girl tells me I should’ve picked the surprep back in January but then again said it isn’t covered by insurance so I wouldn’t of even been able to get it anyway!!! So now I have to wait 2 more months for my next colonoscopy. I asked can I be put on a cancellation list because I don’t feel this is my fault. I’m very sick constantly throwing up and going to the bathroom I’m just worried to wait that long. This girl proceeds to say well it is my fault and tells me that I should’ve gotten it in January. Makes sense. I ask her why is she giving me an attitude and she laughs and goes do you want to finish this call or not? Do I want to make the appointment or not. Why am I getting spoken to like a child when I just asked to be on the cancellation list? Very upsetting especially when you’re going through such a rough time with your health.
I agree with the billing issues. And god forbid if you owe a balance and can't afford to pay even after having 2 insurances??? Its all about the money at this place. Find someplace that puts the patient's needs & concerns first.
I had a great experience at this office. The front desk was SO friendly and helpful. in fact, the entire office was. The MA Theresa made me feel so comfortable. she was so happy and friendly, especially for 7:30 in the morning. The doctor was also knowledgeable. i recommend this office.
Lacking the personal touch Going the extra mile is not the motto here it is by the book which doesn't help everyone No real thinkers just list checkers I am not saying there is no expertise nothing further

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
