Excellent, caring physician...won't find any better retina specialist
Excellent . Very good caring physician . Would recommend him to anyone
He was condescending and unprofessional. He bad mouthed the doctor who caught the problem and referred me out immediately. I will seek another MD.
I totally dislike Dr. Tannenbaum. He "butchered" my eye in a retinal detachment surgery in 1989. He took many pictures of the eye, therefore, he knew the EXACT condition. He could see what shape the retina was in. Yet, he convinced me to let him "operate" and put retina back. (Retina was totally damaged and torn apart) I didn't know it was that bad and he did not reveal that to me. After surgery (I was 98% blind before and 100% blind after) my eye looked like a "garbage can kid" eye, with veins and stiches all over. (That type of surgery only requires two small incisions) He did it for the money, that's all. I have been completely blind in that eye for 28 years, thank God I wear a prosthesis so no one can see how damaged it looks. And thank God I had found another "retina specialist" who saved my other eye. Dr. Tannenbaum wanted to operate on that my only "good" eye. NOT TO BE TRUSTED...His wife is even more of a "piece of work".. They both need to leave this profession. They know who I am.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
