I previously left a review, today I am providing an update. My experience, complete waste of money and time. I went thru treatment and found slight relief as soon as the treatment ended, I was worse off than when I started. Poorer too. I paid out of pocket about $600. Ask weekly for a summary of my expenses. Was told eventually I would receive it. Today, is more than 3 months since I stop treatment and I received a bill for about $150. Interesting when I looked at the bill, it only showed what the Medicare paid, it did not show what I paid out of pocket. The person I spoke with explain to me; company policy is not to send a full statement unless the patient requests it. So what are they hiding??? Don't waste your time or money. If a cortisone shot does not help, go see an orthopedic. My surgery is schedule for this Monday. My biggest regret is spending time and energy going to this clinic. I wasted too much time and wished I had the surgery sooner.
I've been going to AKPC for the last 2 years every 6months for my injections. I am not using any pain killers any more and my knee hasn't had any issues since I started going to them. They are extremely courteous and I highly recommend them!
Always in and out quickly. Friendly staff. Seeing progress about half way thru
Waste of time and money. The Arthritis knee pain center never put this through my insurance (they told me they had 90 days to submit) so i paid out of pocket and do not feel better. I am now seeing an orthopedic and I should have started there.
Very friendly and professional, definitely will recommend
The front desk staff are wonderful! Doctor and PA are amazing to deal with! I have had no issues with my knees so far! Would recommend to those dealing with chronic pain 100%!
Horrible experience. Came in for a Six month follow up. The staff told me that they needed a prior authorization so they sent me home and told me to come back the following week. Imagine going to them for a treatment only to tell me to go home. They’re waiting on my insurance!! When I go back a week later, Grace at the front desk, told me that they haven’t heard from my insurance company still waiting for the authorization. Bethany, who is the office manager I spoke with was very rude and told me the same thing. I walked out very upset and called my insurance company from my car. My insurance company confirmed that they had given them prior authorization confirmation number which is good for a whole year until April 2026. My insurance company provided me with the authorization number as well. So I’m making two visits 20 miles only to be told to go home!! Grace and Bethany are unprofessional and unacceptable staff employees especially when a patient is an extreme pain to deal with this. There was no reason for this They had this authorization alreadyin there file. Terrible experience do not go to them!!!
I’m just leaving the Arthritis Knee Pain Center for my fifth and last injection. My knee feels so much better (98% better)! My knee was bone on bone and after the first injection I felt a major difference. I'm so glad I got a second opinion and they were my second opinion! If you have a knee issue check them out. I'm telling you they are the truth! Arthritis Knee Pain Center is one of the few that uses a imaging machine while during the injection. And the doctor (Dr Alex Stock MD) is so easy to talk to and explain everything so thoroughly and understandable. The staff upfront and throughout the office are great. Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.
I am SO happy and excited about how well of a job they have done. The people all around all so helpful and knowledgeable about your treatment. Scheduling has beautiful, I feel all around beautiful! My knees feel great! Definitely would recommend to others! Thank you guys SO much!
First, I want to acknowledge that my one star review is not a reflection on the office staff, PA, or brace specialist. They are all wonderful. This review is regarding the insensitive and unprofessional care I received from Dr. Streisand. I found him to be condescending, dismissive, and judgmental. While I am fully aware that losing more weight would lessen the pressure on my joints, I had already shared with the doctor that have lost a great amount of weight and kept it off for a long time. ). I was very clear about this in my medical history and in my conversation with Dr. Streisand. Each of my 5 visits for injections, he constantly berated me and harped on me losing weight and go on weight loss meds. I even shared with him that my primary Dr is an obesity medicine Dr but that didn’t seem to matter. After my second of three gel injections, I was in a great deal of pain (first two injections were anti-inflammatory). When I came in for my 3rd gel shot, I explained how much pain I was in and Dr. Streisand showed no kindness or compassion and instead asked “how many pounds did you lose this week?”. I was stunned and added that I can’t even walk for a minute at this point without stopping and he replied “because you’re short of breath?”! To which I replied no, it is because of knee pain! All he said is the shots should be helping and come back for a check in 6 weeks. Upon arriving home, I did my own research and learned that the gel shots can cause an autoimmune response in people with autoimmune disease (which I have and he was well aware of). Instead of telling me that, he chose to ask my how many pounds I lost that week!! I immediately put myself on a steady protocol of Advil for a few days and fortunately the pain got better. If I choose to get another round of injections in 6 months, I will absolutely be happy to travel to another location to hopefully receive compassionate care from a kinder doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
