Eileen Bishop's Online Review Report Card

I was very rushed. DrBishop didn’t give me a chance to ask my questions. She also didn’t explain the reasons for her treatment plan. She didn’t give me any blood tests.

Dr Bishop was abrupt, to the point of rudeness. Would never see her again.

Nice, courteous and knowledgeable

After more than a year of going through multiple cardiac workups (stress test, ECGs, echo, halter monitors, scans, etc...) Dr. Bishop, by chance, saw me in the office on one of my visits. She reviewed my chart, listened to my concerns and why I was anxious about addressing my cardiac issues. The other Dr.'s were very 'laize-fare' about it and kept telling me I was 'fine.' I disagreed (I was getting BP readings fluctuating from 135/85 to 165/92 throughout the day for months and months, that's not fine) Dr. Bishop reviewed my chart performed another ECG, checked my carotid arteries, BP, etc... and heard me out about my family history and she responded right away. She discussed with me about BP and cholesterol meds. We agreed and worked out a follow-up plan to monitor the effectiveness of the meds. So although I am far from one who wanted the meds she listened and I feel better knowing my cardiac issues are being finally addressed. I wanted to be pro-active, not reactive after the fact. She listened and agreed. She also told me if I get back in the gym lose the 20 lbs I put on we will reassess the need (or not) to continue with the BD meds. either way, I feel better to be taking action not waiting for things to get worse. This is in part thanks to Dr. Bishop. I can stand by the fact, she listened, she discussed with me a plan, heard my concerns and she agreed with being aggressive and dealing with my symptoms now rather than possible worse problems later. Everyone must feel comfortable with their Dr. and make decisions they feel is best for them. In this situation, for me, Dr. Bishop is that Dr.

I've been going to Dr. Bishop for many years and was pleased with her. However, these past few visits with her and the other doctors, including Dr. Lee have been awful. They don't listen to the patient or the patients family but rather talk over you and are quite rude. They don't seem to care about the patient at all. Dr. Bishop kept looking at her watch and it was clear that she wasn't very concerned. I am finding another Cardiologist ASAP!

She is cold, uncaring, does not answer question and an OLD lady. Need to retire Old lady, need to get a man and stay at home Let the real doctors take care of sick patients

This doctor is so cold, Do not go her. She does not explain anything. Worse thing is that she does not listen....I was talking to her and instead of listening, she walks out. The woman is OLD and need to retire and find a life.

My father switched this doctors office and now I know why. Dr. Bishop does not care about concerns. She was literally out the door as I was asking questions about changing medicine. I waited 40 minutes to see her and she was out in less then ten. All medicines have side effects and if I have a concern I expect to be heard. She was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I will be going to a new office soon and I can not wait. Waste of time!!

After many years I left this practice as I was not being treated for my heart condition as well as I expected. I am now with a wonderful heart group that understands and explains everything and doesn't let me leave unless they are sure I understand everything. Did not find this to be at Suffolk Heart. I am now on different meds and doing MUCH BETTER
