Dr Avvento is a caring compassionate Dr I went to him for years with cancer he is so knowledgeable I would always recommend him . I moved out of state if I lived there I would never stop seeing him He knows do much more than other Drs !!!!Mary Firemark

Worst Dr. All he wants is your money and suggests these crazy high priced immuno therapy treatments that will end up killing you or your loved one.. Beware

He was a good Dr. until my father passed away. He took care of him for 20 years, every week and when he passed, we called to let him know and never heard a word. Not a call. In fact, his "wellness nurse" called to check in to see how he was doing a week after his death. We let her know of his passing and still now word from the Dr. So impersonal. Makes you wonder how much he really cares about his patients.

CAUTION: UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE FAST, BE DECIVED AND SUFFER AS A GINEA PIG I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEEK SOMEONE ELSE FOR CARE. All he cares about is putting you through crazy high price immunotherapy for problems you dont even have.. as soon as your treatment end you are too weak and in hospice before you know it. His medical licence should be removed..please do your research!!! He has been giving drugs that were pretty much banned for years..

Have been with Dr. Avvento for over 20 yrs. Literally, trust him with my life! Always ask yourself: "Would I put my Mother in his/her care?" & you'll have your answer as to the kind of Dr/Person he/she is!

Great Doctor and staff ! My appointment was on a Friday at 11:45, it wasn't crowded, and I was called in within 5 minutes. The nicest and most professional people. That was in the S.H. office. Thank you, T.C.

I have been cared for by Dr. Avvento for over eighteen years. During that time I have gone through chemotherapy a number of times and through it all Dr. Avvento was always there to guide me and counsel me and generally be a source of comfort. I wasn't just my disease with all the numbers reviewed to determine how I was doing. He talked to me and heard me and sometimes he heard the things I didn't say. What a remarkable man!

This doctor kept me waiting 2 hours after my scheduled appointment to be seen the second time I saw him; the 3rd time, the wait was an hour, then he rushed me through and acted very hostile when I asked him for the time to address my concerns. He is knowledgeable but his "bedside manner" leaves a lot to be desired. I am looking for a different oncologist.

I was exceptionally lucky to have found Dr. Avvento. I had a doctor in NYC who had me go through a treatment that has since been removed from the market for various reasons. I am known as the poster child of what could have gone wrong. My Dr in the city was dismissive about side effects. When I met Dr. Avvento and his staff it was life changing. Almost 8 years later they have continued to be not only caring and knowledgeable but they work with me as a team and a family.
