I had a laproscopic inguinal hernia repair with mesh by Dr. Ricca. Less than 8 months later my hernia was back so I saw Dr Ricca again. At first Dr Ricca was confused that he repaired the other side and this was a new hernia, I assured him that it was the same one. I waited 10 minutes while he went to find his report to confirm that I was correct. He then told me he would “repair the mesh”. The next day I asked for a copy of the operation report and the office re-diagnosis report. For the office re-diagnosis report I had to drive to Southampton and pay $3. The operation report stated that a piece of mesh was implanted that was possibly 4 times the size of what he originally showed me prior to the operation. The re-diagnosis report said that he told me he would implant additional mesh which he never told me, and that he had advised me of the potential for chronic pain also which he never advised me. Obviously I found someone else to fix it.

Dr Ricca saved my dads legs been to other surgeons and all the wanted to do since he is a diabetic they wanted to amputate his legs I came and seen Dr Ricca and he told me I can save his legs leave him with me and I’ll take care of him I did and today my dad is walking and and has his legs thanks Dr Ricca you are the best thank god I found you to help out my father

Highest praise for Dr. Ricca. When a 94 year old relative acutely developed an arterial embolism, threatening loss of the leg and most likely loss of her life, he heroically and successfully performed intricate surgery through the artery itself, removed the embolus and cleaned plaque out of a large portion of the artery. From onset of symptoms at home to surgery, only 6 hours elapsed, and as a result, her leg was salvaged and she is recovering nicely. Dr. Ricca is not only a skilled surgeon, more importantly his medical reasoning and judgment is impeccable. When a great surgeon is needed, it is his knowledge and skill that is paramount, and because of this, Dr. Ricca is the person to see.

Dr. Ricca is the only surgeon I would ever recommend , He has operated on literally my whole family, Son, Daughter, brother and Dr. Ricca saved my 95 year old mothers life twice last year. He is amazing and upfront/transparent , he explained to us step by step details and a skilled and gifted surgeon I owe him everything. Thank you Dr. Ricca

I have just recently returned home from surgery and hospital stay under the care of Dr Richard Ricca. His care, concern, utmost professionalism throughout my stay was invaluable. I am alive today because of Dr Ricca. ( Dr Ricca had operated on my husband about 17 yrs ago and was pleased thenqs well) I am fortunate that he was on call to perform the surgery! Thank you Dr. Ricca!

the worst. he nicked an artery that " was not supposed to be there" causing a much longer stay in the hospital. he used foul language on the phone. his bedside manor which I witnessed is deplorable. I wouldn't let an animal go to this guy.

Guy is an obnoxious jerk who needs a reminder of his Hippocratic oath. He refused to give my father pain medicine until my father agreed to allow him to do surgery and wouldn't give him any if he went to his own doctor for the procedure. Basically he blackmailed him. That doctor has no integrity. He was also condescending the whole time and would come back every hour until my dad changed his mind because he couldn't deal with the pain.

Dr. Ricca operated on me for colon cancer and did an excellent job. No complications.

Breast cancer patient, could not have been more pleased with Dr. Ricca. Took the time to explain ALL options to me in detail, was caring and considerate. Had mastectomy surgery with reconstruction, would not think twice about having him as my surgeon for anything else that may come along !
