Dr. Honkanen was very personable and completely engaged in our discussion. He mentioned some possible recommendations but also considered the cost/benefit which ultimately postponed the expenses he felt were not necessary at this time. In addition, Gabriela my technician, was a combination of being knowledgeable, caring and very sweet! Both are an exceptional combination these days!!!!!!

I love Dr. Honkanen but the waiting time to get on to see him is just too terrible. It is making me look for another doctor. Im really sorry for that.

I first met Dr. Honkanen when another dr recommended laser irridotomy and was too pompous to take the time to explain procedure and the necessity. I met with Dr Honkanen and he went over procedure and I chose to have it done. I have been seeing him for eye exams. I have now had cataract surgery as the cataracts had become a problem for me. I love that he takes the time to explain without talking down to you and asks if you have any questions ... does not rush you out. I highly recommend!

I'm not young and have had my share of health issues, i. e., many doctors, not all great. Dr. Honkanen is one of the better ones. I would (& do) recommend him to anyone. More importantly, other opthalmologists I know have the same high opinion.

I've been seeing Dr. Honkanen for several years because he is a great doctor, but he has zero regard for your time. Today I had a 3:30 appointment and was seen at 5:30 after being told a few more minutes numerous times. In the past I have waited up to 4 hours after my appointment time to see him. Doctor Honkanen and the staff unfortunately have no regard for your time, they will never tell you there is an extended wait as the money comes before the patient here.
