Citymd Amboy Road Urgent Care- Staten Island's Online Review Report Card

There are doctors and then there are true healthcare professionals who truly care for your individual healthcare needs. And initially I went there because my regular doctor was on vacation. So I decided to give CityMD a try. Having said that, I was really surprised! They treated me like I was VIP! Unfortunately, I found out that I was positive for Covid, (I am teacher, sickness comes with the job) but they treated me with respect, they answered all of my questions and at that time, I had also brought my mom, and even though she tested negative at the time, my doctor prescribed her the same Covid medication as a prophylaxis to prevent Covid from making her sick too since we live in the same house. Eventually, my brother got it too, and he too was treated with the utmost respect. I don’t even get that treatment at my regular doctor’s office! So if I had to make the change and my insurance would allow it, I would choose CityMD. They’re great staff, Mr. Usman (Mgr.), and Dr. Alexander is a fantastic doctor! He’s understanding and caring. Even the PAs are next to none! Lastly, I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Alexander who helped me and my mom. He took all of our healthcare needs, and history into consideration, and prescribed the best medication. Again, thank you Mr. Usman, and all the staff at CityMD. Came with small splinter in my daughter's finger. "Doctor" came back with - "Yea, you got a splinter, go see someone else". That's all you get ++ $100s for the visit.. This was such a useless place.

I have visited this location several times over the past month. 3 times for myself and twice with a family member. It’s not always easy to get in at my GP’s office. Everyone from the front desk to the assistants to the doctors and PA’s go above and beyond. The front desk staff is the most helpful group of receptionist that I have ever encountered. I highly recommend

I’ve been here countless times and the doctors and staff are always kind. The pediatric doctor is the absolute best. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. My son was bleeding from his ear and the staff scheduled an appointment with an EMT and called me with the date and time.

I went to city MD with my 8 year old son . He had a large splinter in his hand and it was too painful for me to remove . When I saw the doctor and he looks and the splinter he immediately announces I don't know if I can do this it might need surgery . Scaring me and my son . I then suggested if he can try numbing it and removing it . He said we can try and he was successful . My son also had a low grade fever they immediately offer covid test strep and flu test . They did not ask my son if he had headache, sore throat ear pain or stomach .When I asked the doctor if he was going to examine him he said you refused all the tests . My response was so you do not check his ears throat etc ? $ 100 is not enough now you want to buy all these other test so you can bang me out for another 100 . Terribel bedside matter . Terrible doctor ! I was so mad

Took my 84yo mom who is a wheelchair user to this location and everyone was incredibly kind and Dr. G, well, he was thorough and kind. X-ray technician was super helpful finding a solution being mom cannot stand. I will not hesitate to return here.

Feeling terrible, sadly need a doctors note for work and the pA refused to give me two days off as if I was faking feeling sick. Paid a co pay for her not to do her job. Will never enter this city md ever again. Go be miserable somewhere else.

Just go to the one on page. They actually care about their patients compared to here. There's a reason this place is usually empty and the one on page isn't.
