Very rude doctors, I start to explain what brought me in, she did no even listen me , went to the other room. She did not explain my condition, she did not answer my questions well . Not recommend, it was such a waist time
She is the rudest doctor I’ve ever met in my life. She would not allow me into the examining room with my special-needs brother. When his appointment was over, she came out into a very crowded waiting room looking for “a sister “. I told her that I am hearing impaired and that she would have to speak slowly so that I would understand her. She made no effort to make herself heard or understood. We left the office in tears.
On August 3, I brought my 64 year old special-needs brother to see Dr Alpert. When it was his turn to see the doctor, Dr. Al parts receptionist refuse to allow me in the examining room. I told her that I needed to be there because my brother would not understand what was being said to him. She refused me and told me that the doctor would speak to me afterwards. My brother became very upset. I assumed that I would be allowed to sit down with Dr. Albert and discuss my brothers case after the appointment. That is not at all what happened. Dr. Albert came out of the waiting room looking for” the sister”. I am hearing impaired and try to tell Dr. Alport that she would need to speak slowly so that I could hear and understand her. I repeatedly told her that I couldn’t understand her when I asked her to speak slowly. She refused to make any attempt to communicate with me effectively. She handed me some paperwork and said I could take him to these places” to get him some help” Or I could “take him into the city” to have his foot rebuilt. I believe she meant another orthopedic doctor in Manhattan. She turned and left me while I was still talking. All of this transpired in a very busy waiting room. I was left standing there with paperwork in hand and now idea what to do next. It was just say my brother and I were both in tears. We were hopeful that Dr. Albert will be able to help us. She was extremely insensitive and rude. I have contacted the AMA regarding how disturbing behavior and will alert the office for people with developmental disabilities here on Staten Island join them about her she’s a disgrace to the medical profession and should be ashamed of herself. Peggy D. great kills
Horrible!!! By far the worst! Heard her whole life story while waiting for her to see me. Was sitting in exam room for 45 minutes before she even came in! Then was asked to leave the room because my mask was below my nose. Comes in saying oh no , no no I’m sorry you have to leave the room it needs to be sprayed! I was like what. That’s when I said this girl is nuts! So I left. Now I’m waiting to hear about my X-ray results and the princess doctor will not be discussing my results with me. She had someone from medical records call me to relay the message! And this is called a “Doctor”. Had to rate 1 star but in my opinion I give 0 star!
Yes. she is through and knowledgeable. I fractured my lumbar and she completed the surgery without pain. I was walking the next day.
I never leave reviews but I feel like I have to in this case. I believe very much that this doctor is an insurance scammer. I saw her multiple times telling her I was in pain and she refused to order an MRI. I ended up going to my general doctor, seeing the PA and they ordered an MRI for me that same day. She also was very rude. I have a speech disorder and she made a comment to me regarding it. It was so distasteful and hurtful that when I got to my car I cried out of frustration. Stay away at all costs.
Very good, She was very helpful
It was a positive experience ., Since it was a follow Up to wearing a walker boot , it was a good way to establish next steps for continued treatment t
Very understanding, Very good
Horrible! She was by far one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. My first initial appointment I was a walk in with a completely broken bone on my fifth metatarsal. Never met her she sent Christine her PA into explain that I need to stay off my foot for two weeks and walk in a surgical boot. When I went back two weeks later she was not very nice to me and finally showed her face and explained since you haven’t stayed off your foot we need to operate immediately. First of all I did stay off my foot but the way my bone was broken it would have never repaired itself I needed immediate surgery. Not sure why she never showed Facefirst time around maybe she had no OR time but I went for a second opinion all to learn that this kind of break would have never healed itself regardless if I stayed off my foot this needed to be addressed immediately with surgery. Five screws later and a plate I am livid Over Dr. Albert and her team for wasting my time with a surgical boot instead of a cast!
In short, Dr. Alpert depends 100% on MRI. If you have continues foot pain and nothing is revealed on the MRI she does not pursue any further. I was, finally, diagnosed with Morton’s Neuroma by a Podiatrist and I am getting RELIEF (treatment). I was very, very disappointed with Dr. Alpert decision.
Dr alpert was great very caring doctor she took care of me and managed to help me heal. Rusmary was great always caring and willing to help at all times.
