GREAT doctor, the best of the group! I had been on a trip to the amazon and came home very ill. NO ONE at SI university hospital could figure out what was wrong with me, they sent me home with antibiotics. I went to see Dr.Wortman, he figured it out immediately and prescribed the correct meds. Truly a hidden gem on SI..unfort, you have to deal with his nasty staff -but i think worth it.

I love Dr. Wortman! I have had an ongoing issue with high calcium levels in my blood for years, and no doctor thought anything of it. When Dr. Wortman did some initial blood work when I first saw him he immediately said he thought I had a parathyroid issue. He ran further tests and sure enough, I had a growth on my parathyroid gland! Unbelievable doctor, very thorough, caring, takes the time to go over everything with you and takes his time. Best doctor I have ever seen!

I have been seeing Dr. Wortman for about a decade. I feel very fortunate to have a physician who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He and Dr. Bergman are the two physicians at Mt. Sinai's Victory Internal Medicine who I very much recommend. Dr. Wortman went out of his way a few times for me when I had serious problems, which I very much appreciated. Most important, his diagnostic schools are very good. It's great having a first-rate primary care physician in Staten Island, where it is often a challenge to find good medical care.

Dr wortman took me on as a new patient and my first couple of visits couldnt have gone better. He is all business and has excellencent diagnostic skills. He is very easy to talk to and i never felt like i was being rushed. Dr. Wortman knows how to listen. His staff is friendly and professional as well. Had some lab lests done and was promptly notified within 24hrs of the results. He's a good dude!!
