Alison Stopeck's Online Review Report Card

I can't believe the negative reviews on here about Dr. Stopeck. She has been nothing but compassionate, kind, funny, sensitive, and more than willing to adjust treatment when there were side effects that were causing problems. She has been amazing! Been with her for 7 years with MBC and she saved my life. Her staff is also great. If I call the office, someone gets back to me the same day ALWAYS. Maybe these people are seeing a different person. She is the best.

Very knowledgeable, personable & respectful

Frankly I’m surprised by the negative reviews on Dr Stopek as my experience with her was very different. I found her to be very personable ( even with a sense of humor). She was even very respectful about my decision as to not want to do any further treatment. I was a little scared to see her after reading the reviews but I’m glad I did. I would not hesitate to recommend her or see her in the future myself if needed.

She is very cold and inattentive to the needs of her patients- she should stick to research only and stay away from sick patients.

I completely concur with the patient who recently posted that Dr Stopeck although well educated is negligent and shows no compassion for some of her patients. I, too, am completely baffled as to why she thinks it is okay to be so cold and downright mean to patients who have had cancer. I think that it is true if you have an opinion she will throw you to the wolves instead of having a discussion. She should remain a researcher and stay away from having personal contact with people who are suffering from cancer.

No follow through , does not do what she says , does not call back or handle serious matters . She does not seem to truly care at all and would rather let her patient be in limbo then take the time to do what she says and call you back and make plans for how to proceed with care or follow through on calling your other physicians to work as a team and resolve matters . Took her weeks and weeks to even attempt to reach out to my doctor when it was supposed to be done right away . Then she turns the tables on you to make it appear that you are not compliant . I would not want my life in her hands . Very disappointed and baffled at the level of dismissiveness to a patient that has fought so hard for their life . Instead of being there for you and having compassion she will throw you out of her practice if you have a voice and stand up for yourself and say you want to make sure you’re responding to the treatment before doing more chemo . After my experience I’d have to say to stay away ! Very Inhumane way to treat a patient .
