I was diagnosed with cancer in my lung in January. I was terrified but Dr. Dhamija explained everything about the procedure in detail which put me at ease. Dr. Dhamija is an excellent doctor/surgeon. He shows confidence when speaking to patients and has a wonderful bedside manner with a great sense of humor. That is so important when speaking to patients. I am so glad that he is a part of my husband’s medical team! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do.

My first visit with Dr Dhamija and he was personable, upbeat, friendly, down-to-Earth and professional. Thoroughly explained everything he found in my chest scan. You can tell he truly enjoys his work! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about Dr Dhamija, Dr Vanison and all of their staff…the personalized care and attention was truly amazing. I was a hard core fan of city hospitals throughout my 35 year cancer journey and recovery but StonyBrook has changed all of this for me. The drs, nurses, receptionists at the Cancer Care Center provided excellent and professional treatment. No need to leave Long Island any longer. I can’t thank them enough!

Dr. Dhamija was professional and informative. He was extremely warm and caring. He listened to my questions and took the time to answer each one thoroughly. Dr. Dhamija had the ability to put me at ease prior to my surgery. I would highly recommend him. Great smile too!!!

Dr Dhamija was amazing! He removed a large cyst on my mediastinum. This cyst was causing hoarseness and shortness of breath. Dr Dhamija was kind, caring and had a wonderful bedside manner. The entire staff was wonderful. If you are in need of a cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr Dhamija is wonderful.

Dr. Dhamija treated me in January 2022 for a spontaneous pneumothorax which required surgery. Dr. Dhamija took the time to explain all the options, and what the risks were. I felt comfortable and heard, which lifted my spirits and aided in my recovery.
