Very caring doctor, explained everything in detail.
From my first visit I felt so comfortable and cared for. Dr. Khan is a kind, smart, competent and honest surgeon. He listens and answers ever question. I never felt rushed out of his office. I don’t think I could ever trust a Dr or surgeon more. The staff he has is equally good. I was given top notch care by them at Stonybrook university hospital. My experience was 5 star from start to finish.
Fabulous. Expert opinion given. Set for f/u. Caring and attentive staff. Thank you all
Dr Khan and his team are amazing! I owe them my leg and life. I find all the doctors at Stony Brook to be top notch and they go above and beyond to help.
Dr. Kahn was very knowledgeable and spoke in terms that regular people can understand
I had my first appointment with Dr. Khan today and he was able to diagnose my problem immediately. He spent time with me making sure that I understood my options and reassuring me that he would do his very best to take care of the issue. I'm so happy that my doctor referred me to Dr. Khan. I feel very comfortable going forward with treatment.
I left 1 star because 0 was not an option. This MD doesn't seem capable of treating her patients with even a modicum of respect or compassion, severely lacks any sort of empathy, and she is overall extremely rude and condescending. I have witnessed patients leaving the office in tears due to the way she treats those under her care, as further evidenced by several other reviews relating similar experiences. This doctor has no business practicing with this kind of behavior, and I am honestly astounded that she still has an active MD license. 0/10 would not recommend.
Farzana Kahn, should not be a doctor. I've heard her yelling and putting down other patients, and her staff. She has berated and threaten me personally on almost every visit. Dr. Kahn doesn't listen to you talk and basically seems irritated with everything you say. She can prescribe you the medications to treat and help manage anxiety but it comes with threats and uncertainty. I wouldn't bother wasting your time, take the time to find someone who treats people (her patients and staff) with care and respect.
I give this doctor 1 star for being horrible as a psychiatrist and a setback for my mental and physical health. Never got to meet her one time in person, only over the phone visits all year. She constantly talks down and bullies her patients and hangs up on them and refuses to act as any other normal doctor in the world by doing basic duties such as calling the patients pharmacy, sending over meds, and she is insanely rude and will end your care if you want a medication change or a dose increase. She also will put her patients on ADDICTIVE POTENT benzodiazepines her first line being Xanax which ruined my life because of her. When I told her my tolerance has increased and I'm getting rebound anxiety because of the short acting potent Xanax she put me on and I'm ending up in the emergency rooms all the time because of side effects and chest pain and acute withdrawal because my dosing isn't right for me she called me a substance abuser and ended my care without even tapering me down off the additive substance which can cause LETHAL consequences like seizures and death instead of properly weaning down under a doctor's care. She gave me a prompt ending 7 day supply and told me to go on my way. I called the board of medicine and reported her as she should of gave me at least a month ending supply and tapered me down or gave me another provider that could instead she now is putting my life at risk. She is awful and only cares about insurance money and like everyone warned me..... she's foreign and all about power control. She does not care to fire her patients even after seeing them a long time. She will just find the next victim to prescribe addicting substances then discharge them and ruin their life saying she doesn't treat "substance abuse disorder" when she is the one who gets people on the substances.
Dr Khan fit me in his very busy day to examine me. My surgery was done in Memphis when I fell on a bad sidewalk. He explained everything, the good and bad outcomes & told me to use me to use my walker & wheelchair. Another Stonybrook orthopedic surgeon in that office blew me off last week. Yes I absolutely would recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
