List of Magdy Shady's Reviews
I broke my neck in April and received wonderful care from Dr. Shady and his office. All appointments were on time, no waiting. Nancy and the staff were most courteous and assisted me with all my filing needs for disability. From my first meeting with Dr. Shady at St. Catherine's Hospital until my final visit, his care was outstanding, and his pleasant caring manner was terrific,
This Dr cares only to minimize legitimate chronic pain due to work related injuries.I have 3 failed back injuries and he said in a statement that I was not disabled. His concern to falsify a report to continue to accept compensation patients and collect the good payment for a report and continue to be given the people to exam only shows his true care.
I was a little concerned in the beginning, but as we went through the process, Dr. Shady proved to be efficient and accurate. His experience became clearly evident. Surgery went well and with the help of the Lord, my husband's mobility was restored in a short amount of time. Just as Dr. Shady said would happen. When visiting, do not be afraid, ashamed, or intimidated to ask him questions regarding your treatment.
Never let this guy touch you!!! And if you do don’t expect to be treated with any kind of courtesy or care!! Absolute joke of a Dr!!! Stay far away. And when he screws your up he’ll have toxicology tests done on you, have your room searched for drugs, send in the hospital physiatrist all before he’ll grant you another MRI! Just like he did to me!! Anything to draw the attention off of him. But guess what I don’t use drugs and they knew that from my initial blood work. They didn’t find anything in my room. Treated like I was in a jail cell not a hospital! Disgusting!!! And the hospital physiatrist cleared me after taking with me and my family and looking at my medical records!!! All ordered by dr shady because he screwed up my back at st Catherine’s hospital in smithtown, NY!! Never EVER goto this hospital! And if you do and you are treated badly then file a compliant with patients advocates! All these hospitals get grants from the state! Now I’m on surgery #2.
Don’t let this guy touch you! And if you do don’t expect to be treated with any kind of courtesy or respect. I have many words that o would like to say about this guy but the site won’t let me. Do yourself a favor. Find another DR!!
If you have 2 hours of your life that you'd like to waste, then this is your doctor. Completely inconsiderate of patient's time. Very cold demeanor. His staff are super nice.
Didn't get any help with my back. My pain is so bad, sometimes I ant breath properly. But I am praying to God to heal my wound. I can't live like this. I can't even clean my house I can't bend I which if I could explain the Dr.
Do not use this doctor. Was in 10 out of 10 pain after surgery. Dr Shady tried to discharge me everyday from the hospital. I wound up being in the hospital for a week. Terrible beside manor. Put me through the ringer in the hospital. Had my room searched for drugs, drug tested, and even had the hospital psychiatrist evaluate me before granting me a second MRI on my back. I am in the process of going through the motions to have a second surgery to fix his mess. Would never let him go near me again or refer him to anybody. Terrible bedside manor, arrogant, un-compassionate. Prob has hundreds of complaints against him. Stay away.
Do not use this doctor. Terrible bedside manor. Arrogant. Was in 10 out of 10 pain after surgery and dr. Shady tried to have me discharged everyday from the hospital. He even went as far as to have my room searched for drugs and also called in the hospital psychologist to evaluate all before he granted me my second MRI for my back. Which showed it was all messed up. I was in the hospital for a week! Still having complications and tons of pain months after. In the process of going through the motions to have another surgery to fix his incompetence.
terrible.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
