I had a prostate fusion biopsy done as an outpatient at Stony Brook Medicine. The doctor and staff were tops; the staff reached out beforehand and were pleasant and efficient on the day of the procedure. Doctor Spaliviero was gentle, precise, and reassuring. Here is an important point: Although I may speak only of this procedure done by this doctor, I can tell you that my fears of discomfort were groundless. There was no pain and it was all over in 15 minutes. So if somebody recommends that you have this biopsy done, DO NOT HESITATE. Just have it done by Dr. Spaliviero!

The hospital was very clean, the staff was excellent, everything was on time and the procedure went very well. Dr. Spaliviero was very informative and answered all my questions.

Dr. Spaliviero explained fully what the procedure would entail. He assembled a fantastic team and the six hour operation went smoothly. His follow up was thorough and he explained, to an uneducated hear, what was done and what were the results. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Spaliviero and highly recommend him,

If you have a biopsy done, be sure to ask what your out of pocket cost will be. 5 months later, still battling United Health Care and the test provider MDX Health on a proposed out of pocket $3000 Lab Expense. MDX coded the lab work as "Experimental" and insists it's correct. UHC refuses to pay for Experimental tests.....Worries me about the quality of my test results.

Dr Spaliviero is a caring, honest, thorough and able practitioner. He has always answered all queries and concerns. He encouraged checking into all possibilities of treatment and second opinions. He is compassionate and thoughtful. I feel very lucky to have had his guidance and am thrilled that I decided to have him do my surgery. I would recommend him without hesitation!

Dr. Spaliviero was recommended to me by the Stony Brook Hospital staff in East Setauket. I am so lucky to have found such a great, caring Urology doctor. He has served my issues with prostrate cancer very well and i am now cancer free, thanks to this doctor.

9/17/22 Dr Spaliviero did a Turp procedure on my prostate. While I was quite anxious before meeting the Dr., he put my mind at ease. He performed the surgery with virtually no pain, and it worked perfectly. There was almost no blood. It was all done to perfection. At age 80 he is one of the very best. In fact, he is the best.
