Dr. Dashti is the best! From the first appointment, he was capable, knowledgeable and compassionate. He took the time to explain everything, and answer as many questions as I had. The whole process was easy and I felt confident every step of the way. His team, Sébastien, Asiya, and Teresa, Danielle and Jessica at the office are the best! Thank you for everything!!

This was my second visit to this office, and I was there to go over results from imaging that was done. The staff is very friendly and helpful - from the moment you walk in until the end of your visit with the doctor. Today was not a good visit. I arrived close to my appointment time to find a nearly packed waiting room. It’s understandable that patients and doctors can sometimes run over allotted appointment times, however I waited two hours past my appointment to be seen. In speaking with other patients who were also waiting, I learned that the doctor had been double booked for my appointment slot. To further add to the experience, another patient who had an appointment booked an hour and twenty minutes after mine was seen BEFORE I was. My total time in an exam room from start to finish was approximately 20 minutes. We all have technology at our fingertips. I do not understand why patients who are there for test results and a care plan cannot be seen via a telehealth visit online as opposed to coming in. It seems that in speaking to other patients while waiting, most of us were there today for test results. This was a frustrating experience resulting in a waste of time and a very crowded, potentially unsafe waiting area packed with people. The doctor is personable, friendly knowledgeable and competent and I do feel as if I am receiving appropriate care. The nurse and PA are also wonderful. I have a high level of trust with Stony Brook Medicine in general. Hopefully today’s backlog was just a fluke and not a regular situation as I do not look forward to repeating todays experience. Please consider telehealth visits and not double booking patients.

The wait time to see Dr. Dashi was awful but once he was available he was very professional and answered all our questions.

I'm so grateful Dr. Dashti performed my Neurosurgery. He is a very professional, talented surgeon and has an excellent bedside manner, which, as a patient goes a long way. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr dashti and his team are the best , they did wonderful work with my mom surgery, we are so happy for them.
