Dr. B is a very caring physician, who is not only respectful of his patients but also everyone on his staff from interns to administrative assistants.
Dr. Bratslavsky is an amazing surgeon! He basically saved my life by removing cancerous prostate and a huge pelvic neoplasm in one shot, robotically, during a 5+ hour surgery. This neoplasm was blocking access to the prostate and I was told by a consulting urologist, it was not operable due its size. I am recovering nicely now with all bodily functions getting back to normal. Dr. Bratslavsky cares deeply about his patients - after the surgery he visited me in recovery and on the floor a number of times, called to ask about my condition, kept my family up to date and followed up. He is emotionally supportive and his bedside manners are impeccable! And all that during COVID-19 pandemic! Highly recommend this doctor.

Very compassionate doctor who at the same time is extremely knowledgeable and competent. My surgery was almost 3 years ago and my follow up visits have been excellent.
He did my surgery six years ago. Even though I see him once a year, he always remembers me. He has a friendly, professional demeanor and is very caring and compassionate. I am very fortunate to have him as my doctor.
Doctor Bratslavsky is just an exceptional doctor in every way ...His genuine concern and interest for his patients, his compassion, his bedside manner, his experience , his expertise and his confidence... He just looks you in the eye and tells you “ I will take very good care of you “ , and he does... You just know you are in very good hands ! ... Doc treated me for prostate cancer...He is an exceptional surgeon!!!...Doc, heads up the Urology Group at Upstate... Not only is he exceptional, everyone, without exception, in that group is exceptional...His PA, his nurses and all the assistants and staff....We just could not have picked a better doctor or group
Will put your life at risk because of an overinflated fragile ego
Dr. B and his staff are spectacular. His confidence and knowledge put me at ease when I needed it and gave me confidence that he could do what he said he could do and then he delivered. Amazing surgeon, spectacular staff and great experience. I owe him my kidney and my life.
It's like you have met him in the past sincere and tells it as it is. You are automatically relaxed in his presence and would like to spend mote time with him..I am 81yrs old and have had several doctors during this time and Dr.Bratslavsky is by far the best that I have encountered.
Dr. B. is one of the best doctors I ever encountered! He knows his urology- Dean of Upstate Urology! He has a very knowledgeable, agreeable, efficient, helpful staff. My surgery was better than other people I know. I am without prostate cancer and have few if any post- surgery issues.
Excellent communication, questions answered, accessible after surgery, very pleased with treatment for my prostate cancer. I chose prostatectomy and I am satisfied with my choice and confident in the outcome. Upstate hospital staff took very good care of my needs. Made a difficult situation much more bearable. Thank you, Dr. B and your staff, Gary Bowman.
I have never encountered a more patient centered doctor than Dr. Bratslavsky. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Bladder cancer, and despite the initial refusal of my oncologist to treat me due to the advanced stage of my cancer , Dr. Bratslavsky was able to convince the oncologist to treat me before surgery. (To be fair to my oncologist, I sought alternative treatment against his advice when initially diagnosed. The time wasted on that treatment resulted in radically advancing my cancer, making me an "emergency" case which required rescheduling multiple chemo patients with a better chance of survival.) Following surgery, Dr. Bratslavsky kept in constant personal contact with me, day and night, for several weeks as I recovered. Just one example of how concerned he is with his patients: A day or two following the removal of some drain tubes, I was experiencing sever pain. I called him at night, but had to leave a message. I was awakened with a call just after midnight from Dr. Bratslavsky. He was returning my call from the Ukraine, where he was attending a symposium of some sort. I was BLOWN AWAY at the level of compassion this man has. His concern for patient well being and skill can be credited with having gotten me the needed chemo as well as deciding to take 42 lymph nodes after finding one with cancer. Only that one node was found to have cancer. The result was a "lymph node density of 2%, which as I understand it, is REALLY good. I have been cancer free for a year and a half now. Had Dr. Bratslavsky not been as skilled, compassionate, and tenacious as he is, I would not be here to write this. I now understand the term "forever grateful."
