He's ok, the office is a disaster. I've had billing problems every time I've been there. They performed a procedure that was still deemed experimental and didn't get prior authorization from my insurance company. Guess who had to do all the leg work to sort out that mess. I've now had three procedures that showed I'm clear and now they want to do an MRI. I think they're just trying to get paid. I'm in the process of changing to a new provider. Very disappointing.

Dr. Shapiro answered all my questions. He was confident and knowledgeable of my condition and gave excellent options for resolution. Very personable and did not make the appointment seem rushed.

If your on Medicaid dont expect to be treated like you have good private insurence.They definatlly discriminate agianst people with this insurence. Terrible service had to fire them. Went there with an infection in my prostrate. they got me into a room pretty fast but then i had to wait an hour in there before the rude dr. came in. He prescribed me a different anti biotic and said he was gona send me to an infection specialist. well that never happened. I had to call them up and see what was going on and like i thought nothing was going on. I got a bunch of excuses from the girl on the phone. I can see why they have so many bad reviews they dont give a darn about there patients. Stay away from this place.

The worst doctors ever. I had to do numerous visits and called over and over just to get them to set a surgery date for me. I waited over 3 months and on the day of my surgery two nurses and their "best" anesthesiologist could not get an IV in me. I have been to over a dozen hospitals for necrosis of my pancreas as well as had EMT's put a line in me while a vehicle is moving over 80 mph. They literally did nothing but cause immense bruising on my arm and their so called "best" would push the line in extremely slow which I know for sure means he has almost no experience. The nurses got closer than he did. To top it off he took the line out after the main cord off the line after he pushed it in barely a quarter of the way into my arm and tried to wiggle the line in with just the head of the cord! This anesthesiologist is a nightmare and the doctor refused to perform the surgery on me saying nobody could get an IV in. I told the doctor to let someone else try because I am positive their are more nurses since I see them just standing there but he refused. He also didn't even try himself! Most doctors know how to put a line in and this specific doctor who is doing surgery doesn't know how! Tell me what is going on! I was angry but I stayed calm and asked the doctor to figure out a solution but his solution was telling me to leave. I told him I'm all prepped and I need the most basic thing ALL nurses and doctors should be able to do. Just try again until you get it. He said OK, then he called the police behind my back for absolutely no reason. I did not threaten him or get angry by any means, I just asked politely for him to try because I waited a long time and went through hell just getting the appointment. I ended up having to change and leave with holes and bruises in my arm thanks to t he whole staff. The doctor did nothing but lied to me and try to intimidate me with police. This is the most ridiculous experience I have ever had. You are putting your life in the hands of these people and this is how they treat you. DO NOT go there. Trust me, if they can't even get an IV in you definitely don't want them to sedate you and put a knife to you. Below is a picture I just took of my arm. I have plenty of visibly large veins so I wasn't lying, these people are completely incompetent or just cruel. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Pavlov-Shapiro is very professional. However, I did not get instructions re. taking the Cipro post cystoscopy. I was given 2 pills saying only "take 1 tablet every 12 hours". I even mentioned that I would need to take yogurt (to avoid yeast infection). Nobody told me not to take yogurt or any dairy while taking the Cipro. As a result I got a painful urinary infection. My cystoscopy was on a Friday; my infection started Sat. nite and prevented me sleeping. When I called the answering service to get more Cipro they said I had to go to urgent care -- this in the middle of the coldest spell in Syracuse with winds and snow! Luckily, I scrounged around my medicine cabinet and found some old Cipro which relieved my infection. They need to give medication with appropriate warnings.

He has been a great Doctor. I have to self cath. He and his nurses have been great. He also discovered my prostrate cancer in its 1st stages. I am not the easiest patient to have so 10 points to him for that.

Awesome doctor, did emergemcy surgery and he was great

I wouldn't reccomend this doctor to anybody, though he can impress but no help at all... he completely ignored my problems. I kept asking for help but never heard from him back.
