List of Upstate Community Hospital's Reviews
I worked at Community Hospital for 25+ years, we were a family and it was a great place to work. The staff members I have come into contact with since I left nearly eleven years ago have been wonderful but what is happening to the building? It's far from what it used to be and the parking situation? I waited far too long to get my ticket to enter the garage through no fault of the attendant, the line was extremely long That kiosk, or whatever you call it , has been broken for eons! FIX it!! Makes me, and I'm sure others, wonder what else is broken. Not a very nice first impression to the campus!
Left me in Labor for 55 hours with my 4th child. Did not listen to me at all when I kept telling them to break my water because that is how I dilate. They didn't care they gave me a bunch of meds so I can dilate. Only for it not to work. Hour 54 they decide to break my water. I then fully dilate. They leave the room. My baby came out by half way herself. She's not breathing. Having seizure. They can't get my placenta out so they decide to rip it out. I hemorrhage. Have to be rushed to OR..I wake up in ICU with a blood loss of 4.5 liters. And my baby fighting for her life in another hospital. I didn't get to meet my baby until week 1 of her life. My baby now has TBI, seizure disorder, HIE, developmental delays, right sided weakness, hypotonia, cerebral palsy, white matter abnormalities on brain, ketotic hypoglycemia, and GI issues. I wish they would have listened and followed my our birth plan. They ruined our lives. We are forever traumatized and scarred.
We had 2nd visit here still we r happy with this hospital. Tho there r respiratory viruses spreading not only covid. Hope everyone stay in good health ----------------------------- Everyone is sooooo kind n friendly, Receptionists, nurses, doctors!! Very professional as well. thanks a lot everyone n Dr. Ally!
Received excellent care from all staff involved. Supervising physician Dr Munsio (That’s close to his name) and Dr Polliver gave me full attention, listened, were actually concerned and answered my concerns. I had epiploic apendigitis, which was painful but not life threatening. Its symptoms mimic horrible possible problems like diverticulitis and hernia. The med student and resident on staff were also excellent and passed the problem up the chain until it was resolved. Nurses were amazing as well. Very well handled professional courteous staff. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Staff literally forgot to give my girlfriend her pain medication while she was crying from the pain. Waited so long for treatment that her pain subsided and we just left after THREE PLUS HOURS. Never coming back here for any emergencies again.
Been here for hours and in so much pain I can't even explain!!! They have people on the floors laying down and the waiting is above capacit. Worst hospital I have ever been to in my entire life!!!! No one has answers no one cares.... Please do not ever come to this hospital in you are in need of help because they will not help you.
Excellent Staff all around the board. Thank you for the care I was given here. As a patient I have no complaints.
I had a nurse speak about my personal health information and hippa while sitting behind the nurses station to her colleagues. I address her and she proceeded to argue with me. She was completely unprofessional in her colleagues than not address her whatsoever.
Literally sitting here with my mom , been here 3 hours , she is a cancer patient and has blood pouring down her face and they took a person back that came in after us and refuse to listen when I tell them her bleeding is getting worse.
Me and my partner were here, they didn't have pillows in the ER, we felt forgotten, and they only gave use Crackers, Peanut Butter and Ginger Ale. You'd think they would provide AT LEAST a Sandwich and a Pillow.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
