Dr. Makkawi is an exceptional doctor and he is very insightful and attentive. He is a pleasure to be around and is very caring, compassionate and respectful. He takes his time to listen to all your concerns and to answer all your questions. After he moved to Tarrytown, I take the trip up there just because he is an amazing doctor!!

Out experience was fantastic. He is extremely thorough, thoughtful and caring. Communicates clearly. Follows up. Returns phone calls promptly. He moved from a Manhattan office to Tarrytown and we chose to stay with him and travel the distance. Good care is hard to find. All his office staff is kind.

It's very clear that Dr. Makkawi doesn't really listen while you're talking. His notes are filled with obvious factual errors that directly contradict what I've told him about my symptoms, so it's unsurprising that all I've gotten from him are misdiagnoses. Also, don't expect communications to be easy. Messages will go unanswered, and he's typically at least 30 minutes late to all appointments.
