List of Cheryl H. Waters's Reviews
Absolute rudest dr.. Awful listener, she’s caught up typing her notes while you speak. Doesn’t want to be bothered helping you, just scolding the patient.
Found her to be knowledgeable, courteous and listened to what I had to say
Dr Waters is the rudest Dr I have ever encountered. As a nurse myself I was shocked by the way she treated my mother. Not only did she belittle my mom and make her think she was mentally not stable. Dr Waters bluntly came out and said go back to your neurologist I will not treat you. I was under the impression that as a physician you should want and make a positive impact. I did my research and took my mother who has Parkinson’s disease to see her. She lacks the ability to communicate compassionately with her patients. It’s disgraceful that Columbia would allow this physician to work for them. Trust me don’t waste your time look for another neurologist. If I could I would have given her zero stars.

Dr. Waters is thorough and caring....an excellent Movement Disorder Neurologist. She has years of experience, very knowledgeable about research in the field, and the patient's well being are top of mind in her recommendations.
excellent
"Why did you come Manhattan?" That's how she coldly welcomed upon mentioning that we live in Queens! Her response to a specific Parkinson's related question was to shrug her shoulders and say, "I don't know to treat that." Incredulous, I asked her again, she got testy and snapped, "I already told you, "I don't know!" When I asked her if we should make a follow-up appointment, her response was "if you want to." I've never encountered anything like this! There was no attempt to ask for my mother's medical records and she didn't suggest any tests to get to the bottom of the problem. In fact, when I told her about other tests other specialists had suggested, she was totally dismissive. In other words, she was either incapable or unwilling to suggest a mode of treatment or another specialist that might help since she evidently was unable to. I literally took a day off from work and paid for a consultation to have doctor be cold, rude, dismissive and to tell me I don't know!
I wish I could give her zero stars. She misdiagnosed me, put me on a ridiculously high dose of a medication, and then blamed the side effects of said medication on a potential psychiatric disorder. She has very poor listening skills, which I attribute to her arrogance. I don’t recommend going to her at all, but if you have already, please get a second opinion. In addition to her poor medical skills, her bedside manner, and communication skills are quite horrendous as well.
My husband and I saw doctor Waters over concerns about symptoms, behaviors, and the connection to Parkinsons Disease. She was very friendly, listened to what we had to say, and examined my husband. She was very kind and caring, and we were able to listen to her dictation about our visit. By doing that, we were able to have confirmation of the conclusions she had drawn. She truly is a compassionate, and talented individual. we feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to speak with her.
She has the worst bedside manner. She has no filter what is appropriate to say to encourage a patient. She is all about tooting her own horn. What a head case. She should go to a school for manners and repeat every course.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
