List of Christopher J. Winfree's Reviews
Dr Winfrey was very helpful and because his knowledge of the occipital nerve l am finally going to have the appropriate care
I had a great experiences with Dr Winfree! He put me In For nerve tests, found out what my nerve problem was and took care of it with surgery and physical therapy. . He is very professional, great bedside manners and knowledgeable. I have read several of the blogs, and those that are putting him down , because you say you had a bad experience with him, it’s not everybody. Under every doctor you’ll find someone who isn’t happy, probably just because they are unhappy with themselves! Because, he does explain everything! I trust him with everything because he did help me!
After reading some of the negative patient reviews regarding Dr. Winfree, I was hesitant in making an out- of - state appointment. Contrary to the reviews I read, I found Dr. Winfree to be an excellent Physician. His bedside manner is that of a professional with your best interest at heart. His direct approach to my care was not only refreshing, but he offered hope where other doctors have not. Subsequent to my appointment, I had gone through the medical mill, seen more doctors then I care to admit. None of them displayed the care and concern he and his team have shown for my condition. Not only did he take the time to listen / hear me , he explained in detail the protocols to address this particular nerve damage or condition. Had I given any weight to the negative reviews, I would have missed the opportunity to see the one doctor that understood my condition and offered any hope. I urge everyone reading this ..to take the reviews with a grain of salt, as it could be life changing
I was initially very concerned seeing Dr Winfree after reading reviews and I must say never believe all reviews. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful from the first phone call. Dr Winfree was very knowledgeable on my condition and took the time to listen to me and answer all questions I had , Dr Winfree gave me a treatment plan and explained it so I understood. I have seen 100s of Drs for my condition and I do understand why some say comments about Dr Wnfree's "bedside manner" I found he is a doctor who is straight to the point answer the questions he is asking there is a reason he is the doctor and we are the patient he is not going to hug you but will shake your hand . I traveled 2.5 hrs to see Dr Winfree and I would travel that again. Many doctors gave me no hope for repair to my injury Dr Winfree has given me hope . I normally dont write reviews on doctors but needed to as Dr Winfree reviews are false in my opinion and like I said if you answer the questions he is asking ask the questions you have there is no issues I have 0 complaints about Dr Winfree and his staff .
Dr Winfree is an amazing neurosurgeon! I had full confidence in him going into my surgery and trust him 100%
He should change his name to Dr. Arrogant. Winfree is the worst provider I have ever been forced to waste my time waiting to see (and for nearly 90 min past my apt time.) He never examined me. He never read my records. He never asked about my symptoms. He never tested anything. The one recommendation he offered was not at all helpful or relevant. Winfree was the only physician I’ve consulted to say I don’t have a nerve injury when in fact I’ve been suffering with horrific nerve damage.
G-d Complex indeed! There's no bedside manner at all coming from this individual - not an ounce of compassion or guidance for what someone with a severe nerve injury has been suffering with. After waiting more than an hour, Winfree failed to examine my injury and refused to review any medical records. He barely listened as I carefully communicated the character of my pain and debilitating effects. and limitations. The suggestions Winfree made were inappropriate for my situation and unwarranted at best. He is one of the most snarly and uncaring individuals I have ever come to meet. Most significant - he failed to diagnose the problem. Total waste of time. I would not recommend him to anyone. Zero stars here.
My husband and I went to meet with Dr. Winfree this morning for a painful nerve condition I have been struggling with for five months. To our shock and dismay, Dr. Winfree was rude and highly uncompassionate to the situation. Several times when we asked him questions, he replied with an "I don't care" attitude. He even told us to do whatever we want several times. Feeling so poorly already, I drove home in tears and despair hoping so much that Dr. Winfree could help us. His arrogance and I don't care attitude is definitely not what someone needs when already feeling so poorly. I have never written about a doctor before but this must be noted for all future patients. No one should be treated this way. What happened to the Hippocratic Oath?
Terrible experience all around. Was told "the sooner the better" for a surgery and then his staff took 3 months to get it scheduled. Zero communication from them. Had to chase down answers constantly. Then after the surgery he doesn't even bother to come talk to me in recovery. And the last straw was for my post-op they called me the day before and asked me to move it up to 12:30. I did. Then I waited over an hour. Asked if I was next and told two ahead of me. I left. Stay away.
I saw Dr. Winfree today, and because of my medical condition I have met many neuro surgeons, and or, neurologists over the past four years. Dr. Winfree was the most condescending and ruthless doctor I have ever met!True lack of concern and compassion,I know that neuro doctors have a reputation of being "not so compassionate" but this guy gives it a whole new meaning. There so many great physicians out there do not waste your time on this one. If you can get to Johns Hopkins do it what a difference

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
