Great Dr Papaleo
My husband is a nervous wreck before his first heart cath- we arrive at hospital to find Dr cancelled at last minute! Assured that stent will be placed if necessary. Arrive for 2nd appt and Dr NEVER SEES OR SPEAKS TO PATIENT while conscious. Afterward nurse says he must RESCHEDULE to get stent on 70% blockage of “widowmaker”- NO explanation. Takes my husband 2 days to recover from sedatives, etc and it was promised to be done THEN, if needed & paperwork reflects this!! Now we gave more stress, worry and recovery time to come and we gave to cancel all out Christmas and January plans because Papaleo can’t be bothered to do his job!! HE HAS ZERO REGARD FOR HIS PATIENTS!!! Promised cath results NOT provided. Days later we get results from regular Cardiologist which state the Dr. “Discussed at length” with patient- a total lie. Regular Cardiologist cannot explain Papaleo’s behavior. SOMETHING WRONG with this Doc!!!!!
My elderly wife is physically and mentally handicapped. This physician ordered a cardiac stress test which she completed. We then were required to meet with R. Papaleo, MD in his office because, as we were told, he needed to do a hands-on check-up which could not be done via telephone or Telehealth. The medical assistant was kind and helpful, taking my wife's blood pressure and pulse. We then waited for the physician. When he entered, he took a seat and spoke to me about the "perfectly normal" results of the stress test. At no time did he speak to his patient, not even a "hello" or "how are you feeling?" Nor did he listen to her heart or touch her in any way. My wife and I had struggled to get her into and out of a car twice just to sit in an office while her cardiologist, it seems to me, had not the time or the concern even to acknowledge her. Lest this review be seen as too incredible, any interested party at Capital Cardiology may pursue the facts by consulting their appointment
My husband has been a patient ofDr. Papaleo for almost 4 years after having a heart attack. The day of his heart attack, I had just arrived at emergency where I metthe doctor. His first words to me were"we were able to stop the heart attack, no damage to his heart muscle".So if your looking for a reason why you should trust your heart with Dr. Papaleo, I think youjust read one!
Love Dr. Papaleo. Great bedside manner for sure.
A wonderful MD.
Was your great grandfather his name was rafael papaleo and had a uncle his name Faustino papaleo (tato)
I had been going to another Heart Dr. on the same team. I had a scheduled visit with that other Dr. and I waited quite a while to be called. I saw the Doctor running around and when I was finally called He took my vitals and gave me a new script. I heard him tell the nurse he was running late as he was leaving for a vacation. I went, had the script filled and began taking the new pills. I had supper and noticed I had a headache. I later went to bed and could not sleep. Got out of bed 6 AM and Head was Hurting with blurred vision. I drove to the rescue Squad and asked to have my pressure checked. 3 different technicians took it and got the same HIGH numbers. Told me to go to Hospital. I called Heart Drs. office and they took me right in. Dr. Rafael Papaleo was introduced to me. He gave me a good exam. He asked for the pills I took. I showed Him and He disgarded them. Wrote me a new script and from that day I never had a headache. He said I should have never took the other script, they did just the opposite. God Bless Dr. Rafael Papaleo!!!~
Dr. Papaleo is a very knowledgeable, caring physician, who genuinely cares for his patients..he may seem always in a rush, but he's a great heart Dr. and has a lot of patients, because he is that good! Would never go to anyone else..from a cardiac arrest survivor of 8 years,..
I know a number of people who are patients at this facility, and every one of them complains about the antiquated and uncomfortable Sign -in/ Sign-out line. It is the worst protocol for dealing with patients of any office I've been in, at least during the last two decades. And for cardiac patients!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
