List of Jonathan D. Block's Reviews
Dr. BLock is thorough. He looks at the whole patient and follows up on suggestions.
I worked in the medical field before retirement. Four years ago, I found myself in the ED at St Luke's. Dr. Block was consulted, I was admitted and had a procedure the next day. In his office, he is very professional, courteous and kind. He has always answered all my questions and explained procedures and treatments to me and my family members. I recommend Dr. Block very highly.
I called in the morning and was told to be in the office promptly at 12:30, and the doctor would see me. Arrived at 12:10 and checked in. At 1:00 went up to the desk and asked if the doctor was in. Was asked by the person if i checked in. I said you checked me in. The person checked with the doctor and stated he said he could see me at 2:00. Very unprofessional. You can draw your own conclusions. Because of the way I was treated, I found another doctor.
Fantastic doctor. I went to another urologist in my city, and he was rude and short with me. Dr. Block took his time, figured out the problem and has taken great care of me. Now he sees my whole family, and we love him!
I found Dr block to be very rude someone from his office called me told me I had a hole after a CAT scan they had done but they couldn't tell me if that was in my bladder or my intestines after a CAT scan they did .my previous CAT scan showed a hole in bladder and the large intestines the lady that called couldn't tell me where and when I try to find out nobody would return my call hospital told me I had 2 holes so I was calling to ask which hole still there my bladder or my intestines so I called him on Saturday morning he got nasty very angry so I called his office Monday morning and told them I would not be coming there anymore and just send me my records and then three weeks after they sent me a letter dr doesn't want to see me anymore I wouldn't recommend him to anyone ! After his rudeness I had no intentions of going back there I don't understand why he sent the letter apparently his office has a lack of communication
Had a follow up appointment that was a year out ( after he had already told me i was fine and nothing was wrong) so i cancelled my upcoming appointment over 2 weeks prior as a curtesy for someone that needs the appointment. Saved myself the copay and time off from work and referral. I received a letter informing me as they put it “ effective immediately as of the date of this letter he will no longer be able to provide me with medical care and will not see me in there practice because there has been a disruption in the doctor/patient relationship” i called the office and asked why I received the letter and they said because i canceled my appointment and didn’t reschedule with a kidney infection( which i had no kidney issue even when i was being seen prior and if i did why did he wait a year to see me for a follow up) i could no longer be seen. This dr is about numbers I’m appalled i was trying to be considerate and give the appointment to someone who really could have used it.
Please seek out a 2nd opinion....not all cases of PC are the same....because my father's PC was treated as a "typical" case by Dr. Block....he is no longer with us....succumbing to PC 2 years after diagnosis.
Dr Block was so kind to me in helping me. He really listened to my concerns, and gave me a real plan to help.
Dr Block is the kindest, most thoughtful, considerate Dr we know. He is very prompt, spends ample amount of time with you and explains everything in the fullest. He talks to you like you are a family member. He saved my husband's life and I will be forever indebted to him. Thank you Dr Block for being such an asset to the Medical Profession. You deserve 10 stars, not just 5.
Excellent and compassionate. Explains things very thoroughly in plain terms I could understand!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
