Very competent and capable surgeon, but that's where it ends. Office staff is ATROCIOUS, (did not deal with insurance issues for 6 weeks and screamed at staff from PT office when they called in for PT script) Also refused to sign a NYS PFL form for spouse when I was incapacitated for 8 weeks post surgery. Did however offer to sign said PFL for 1-2 days. Told him forget it.

Dr Zelazny performed surgery on my daughter repairing a tib- fib break and did an outstanding job. His bedside manner is excellent, he takes time to explain every detail and aspect of the surgical and recovery process. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great Orthopedic

My son saw Dr. Zelanzny pre-COVID and he really liked him and felt he was very thorough. He suggested surgery so as soon as he was offering surgery post-COVID, we tried to schedule a surgery appointment. However, they never once called me back to schedule and each time I've followed up to see if they can give him a surgery date, they NEVER called back. What kind of practice never calls back after requesting for surgery??? We finally gave up and using another doctor. BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!

Hurt myself on a Thursday. Doctor made me wait until Tuesday for an appointment. They told me they would call insurance the following morning to get an mri authorized. I called every day and still nothing. Come Friday, they not only didn’t call insurance, but they also never sent over the clinical notes. So I now have to wait another three days to see what insurance says. By the time I actually get answers, it will have been over two weeks. And the best kicker yet...the doctor doesn’t even do the surgery I would need. So I can barely work, I’m in a lot of pain and I’m fighting just to get a damn mri so I can get answers. Save your time, go somewhere else.

I turned up at Stamford Hospital’s Emergency Unit on Memorial Day at about 6 PM. I had just fallen off at the top of a 22 Ft. ladder with a chainsaw in hand. I am lucky to be alive or have a back. My tibia and ankle was far less fortunate. Dan Zelazny was on call and he turned up to stabilize my ankle. What a first class professional!!! He did his job to perfection and his sense of humor was right there with him and me. Am I grateful? In more ways I could ever express.

Dr Z was on call, fixed my broken tib/fib titanium rod and screws. Scars very minimal his work was excellent. I healed fast and I am still doing great 4 years later.

Saw the doctor for knee pain. Identified that cartilage was worn down and recommended "gel shots" to ease pain. Told me that his staff would follow up in two weeks, "But if you don't hear anything, call as ask for status." So he was making me responsible for managing his staff. After four weeks I called and was told that my plan denied the compound and that another compound was ordered. Two weeks later I received a letter from my plan saying that they were halting the prescription due to no response from the doctor after requesting information. I called the plan, and they said they faxed a request for information, but after 10 days went by with no response, they stopped the order. Given that the first order would have had the same requirement, I now realize they also did not respond to that one. Almost two months later, I have received no treatment. This may be a good doctor, but his staff is horrible, bordering on incompetent. Save yourself the aggravation and find a doctor who is accountable for his staff's behavior.

Dr. Zelazny was recommended by another doctor, which was the best choice. The first time seeing Dr. Zelazny I knew that I was in good hands. I could not move my arm above my shoulder due to a torn rotator cuff. After the surgery and a little therapy, thanks to the doctor I am able to move my arm again with full motion.
