Don’t bother with this office. Office is dirty and staff is incompetent, barely speak English. And this doctor is not a neurologist!!
No office management at all. Medications do not get ordered. Phones do not get answered. Messages are ignored. Sub par care.
Apathetic office staff does not answer phones, voice mail is always full. No office management at all. Medications do not get ordered, medical care gets delayed and nobody cares.
Good luck making an appointment. The doctor is actually pretty good of you can manage to get an appointment. Staff does not answer the phones and voice mail is always full. They can't be bothered to return a call, order medications or check insurance coverage. If you question their inaction the answer is ALWAYS "The phones were down."
I have visited multiple times and always have issues. I keep trying because it's so conveniently located for me. The staff is terrible as other reviews have stated. I've shown up for morning appointments only to be told that the doctor hasn't shown up for the day yet. I've had my lab work sent to out of network labs without being told, finding out later that I need to pay thousands for out of network expenses. Throughout my visits, I have only ever seen a PA or nurse, never spoke directly to the Doctor.
The office called me to see what my symptoms were, when I said I had a sore throat they refused to see me. I have no other symptoms, that is it. Since when does a Dr refuse to see patients? I could understand if I traveled out of the country or showed multiple symptoms of COVID-19 but I had a sore throat and they cancelled my appointment the day of. I will be filing a complaint with the medical board.

So, I am giving this office another chance as I really liked Dr. Hussain. She was incredibly thorough and actually listened to what I was saying. I wouldn't call her super warm, but that's not really what I need in a Dr. I want someone smart who listens and considers multiple causes/solutions. Now, to the office staff. They are awful. Booking an appointment is somehow always an ordeal. For instance, when I called today the conversation went as follows: "When is the earliest I can see Dr Hussain on Tuesday?" "The office opens at 8am" "Great, I'll take 8am" "You can't, that's booked" "Ok, well, when is the earliest I can see her" "9:45am" "Ok, I can't do that, what else do have available in the day" "9:30am" "Oh, I thought 9:45 was the earliest" "It is, but she can do 9:30 on Thursday" "Ok, what about Tuesday, when is she available later in the day on Tuesday" "8am" "But you said that was booked" "It is" And so it went... took more than 5 mins to schedule my noon appt. This didn't really effect but certainly caused pause. Once, when I was waiting in the waiting room (it's very very small), I could plainly hear the desk staff/PA talking about a patient, by full name, and his detailed medical issues. A huge huge privacy violation and something they need to take care not to do. They will also push communicating through an app called Klara. May work for some but I absolutely hate it and asked for them not to use it to contact me.... Though it's supposedly been noted (several times in my file) that I don't communicate via the app, they still use it to confirm my appointments. The waits times are ok, not great but not terrible. Pretty much expected for NYC Drs. As annoying as the desk staff is, it's worth it for a great Dr.
The office isn’t the most luxurious, but I look for more in my doctor than a pretty office. That being said, Dr. Husain was beyond polite and easy to talk to. She was patient and answered all my questions. She was knowledgable and put any concerns I had to rest.
This is an odd atmosphere. It takes a while to get an appointment. When you get there the waiting room is rather loud. Dr. Hussain is as warm as winter snow and as thorough as Oscar Madison. I wonât be back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
