Worst hospital ever, Every-time we go we experience something unbelievable. We will never go back again!!

Long Islands Best, and truly underrated Hospital A sincere and very heartfelt thanks to Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital Employees. August,2023 I was admitted for a surgical procedure on my lower back. The hospitals Registration and Admitting Staff welcomed me offering kind words of encouragement and motivation coming from an employee identified later as Ms. SICU Manager, Cheryl. (Thank God for You). My procedure began as scheduled, Once entering the Operating Room, seeing all of medicines most innovative and advanced medical equipment, I was confident I had chosen the correct hospital facility to perform my procedure. I can’t say enough good things about the professional care and expertise applied from the staff working in Orthopedic Surgery who treated and nursed me in room 225B until my discharge. Fantastic professionals at work included Shoshana PA, RN’s Vivienne Boss Lady, Mildred Casareno, Danielle , Kialowti Mohan, Babbette, Marleen, Mildred, Ian ambassador of Food and Nutrition. I may have forgotten to list several employee’s names comprising the team of professionals providing excellence in healthcare. I recently had a scheduled surgical procedure here and I have to say I was put at ease the minute I entered the hospital lobby. The gentleman who assisted me and my family was so kind and kept reassuring me that everything would turn out well. Registration was prompt and easy and once I entered the pre-op area I was attended by a team of wonderful nurses, doctors and anesthesiologists. Dr. Paul Chung is a phenomenal doctor and the team who assisted him were truly amazing. They answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable and put my mind at ease the entire time. The procedure went smoothly and I went home same-day as planned. The short time I spent in their recovery area I was well taken care of and again, the team made sure I had everything I needed. I truly appreciate everyone at LIJ Valley Stream who attended to me, took care of me and most of all, operated on me - thank you so SO much for all that you do!

So the staff here are very kind. But I am so used to other lij northwell locations being more organized for example if you have to get your blood drawn and its within the system, you can walk in and get your blood drawn within 5-10 mins max! I was in there close to 2 hours.

Nothing has changed with this place’s ER. Back in 2004 my mother was having a stroke. She was brought to the ER and placed in a bed. At this point she could still move her right arm and leg but they were getting weaker. I ran out multiple times to find a doctor to get her help. She was becoming more and more weak on her right side. The ER doctor basically ignored me, walking away from me as I pleaded. In between running to the restroom to vomit from my panic, begging someone to help her, I watched the stroke destroy what my mother was, helpless to do anything while the people who could help did nothing. No one treated her stroke as a life threatening emergency. No tests were rushed, nothing was done to try and treat her stroke. They left her there and by the next morning she could not move her right side, could not see out of her right eye and could not speak. And she was like that until she died in that hospital 3 years later. That’s another story. They’ve been calling this place Death’s Waiting Room for decades and they deserve it.

Let's start off by saying AMAZING! I appreciate Lydie,Shanee, and Oraly, also the receptionist area. All were kind and service me in due time. The communication was great, with a positive attitude, and very attentive. Thank you all for the amazing service today. All my needs and concerns were met!

If you think you’re having a stroke, I repeat do not go to LIJ Valley Stream they do not have an MRI machine 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Last four days have been really interesting if anything kudos to North Shore Manhasset for being a real ones and taking care of me North Shore Manhasset gets a 10 out of 10
